The New Catechetical Year will begin Sept. 8th. Father Ihor asks that anyone who would like to register their children or grandchildren to contact him at [email protected] . Please have the names and ages of the children and whether they attended classes last year. Let him know whether Saturday or Sunday is the preferred day for catechism. Also, would you be interested in a 5 day catechetical camp for next summer (perhaps in July) for the children.
Spiritual formation for children is very important; estab-lishing the child’s relationship with God through Jesus Christ begins in the home and will continue to grow throughout their lifetime. The church offers catechetical classes to assist families in this important mission. The “God with Us” series is the program utilized by our parish for all grades except grade 2, which utilizes “Children of Light” of which the aim is to introduce the child into full participation in the sacramental life of the church.
