WELCOME to the Third Annual WMA-GFOA Women’s

Conference. Three years ago when we introduced the idea of

hosting a women’s conference, we had no idea how well it

would be received. Three years later, we are increasingly

surprised by the outpouring of support and appreciation for

what this forum offers.

And what does it offer? GFOA-WMA Women’s Conference

offers an exclusive opportunity to personally interact with more

than 200 of your peers in the fields of government and finance,

and provides exposure to new ideas and best practices of

everyday issues.

This year’s theme is Leading with Confidence and Creativity.

Today, you will hear how a few extraordinary women have

approached their professional challenges by breaking them

down into small steps and then built confidence by succeeding

on each, one after another. You will learn that creativity is as

much a practice as it is a talent.

The day is yours. Enjoy it!

Warm Regards,

Mohamed A. Mohamed
