Friday 11th September 2019 - Issue No 3 Thank you to Parents We would like to say thank you to all parents who came to the NSPCC - e-Safety Workshop and also for coming to Meet the Teacher Aſternoon. If you were unable to aend the Meet the Teacher Aſternoon, you can now arrange to meet with the your child's Classteacher aſter school. World Maths Days Tuesday 15th October Our school is taking part in World Maths Day which takes place on Tuesday 15th October. This is an excing opportunity for all children to engage with maths. The aim in holding this event is to raise the profile of maths within the school and to have some fun! On Tuesday child can come to school in non-uniform wearing a piece of clothing with numbers on e.g. football shirt, a tee shirt or a cap with a number on it or even a birthday badge. Friday 18th October On Friday 18th October, Adderley Primary School will be supporng Show Racism the Red Card. Show Racism The Red Card is an an-racism educaonal charity, who aim to combat racism and present an an-racist message to young people and others. Children can come to school in non-uniform and must wear something RED and donate £1.00 to Show Racism the Red Card charity. Year 3, 4 and 5 - Off Site Residential at Kingswood Staffordshire As part of our Physical Education provision, we are really pleased to announce that our children have the opportunity to attend an ‘Off-site residential’ from Monday 30th March – Wednesday 1st April 2020 at Kingswood, Staffordshire. During their stay, our children will partake in many outdoor and adventurous activities. This is a fantastic opportunity and the children who have attended the previous years residential had an amazing time. They were involved in a variety of activities and experiences. The cost of this residential is £75.00. The cost of the visit can be paid for in instalments – a non-refundable deposit of £18.75. There are only a few places left for this off-site residential and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. You can secure your child’s place by paying the deposit of £18.75 on ParentMail. Harvest Fesval This autumn we are asking parents to donate food for the school Harvest Fesval Collecon from Monday 14th October. We would be grateful if parents could provide nned or packet food, non perishable. The collected donaons will be distributed to various food banks supporng the local community.

P.E. Lessons All children in Year 4, 5 and 6 will need to wear their PE kits to school, every week on designated days. This is to reduce changing time and maximise the amount of time in PE and swimming. The expectations for P.E. kits are to ensure we follow the school uniform policy and send your children with the following PE kit:
