Welcome!! I would like to welcome everyone to Hammarskjold Middle School. This is an exciting transition in all of your lives. We hope we can make these two years as easy as possible. Sixth Grade is an exciting year for your aspiring young minds. Not only will they learn a lot in school, but they will learn a lot out of school. As a grade, we take many field trips to enhance the learning that happens in the classroom. Our first trip is right around the corner.
The first few days for your new sixth grader may be rough, but don’t worry…they will learn and have a blast doing it. If there are any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call or email me. I’m sure, together; we can make amazing things happen this year.
How to Help:
The month of September is a fairly easy month. Once all the introductions are over and the kids figure out how to open those pesky lockers, we really get into the learning. We will begin to look at historians and the tools they use to uncover the past. This year will be an exciting adventure into the ancient cultures of the world.
