Placing your orders electronically not only saves you time and paperwork but also helps NHS Supply Chain manage costs, which means even greater cost savings for you.

e-DCNHS Supply Chain’s e-DC (electronic data capture) offers you the latest in electronic technology with state of the art handheld equipment, giving you all the benefits of a Microsoft Windows based system:• high specification PDAs (personal digital assistant)• two dimensional scanners using the latest

barcode technology• ability to order both stocked and non-stocked items• faster download time• large capacity memory, with the ability to save orders• continual upgrades and software developments• wi-fi enabled (subject to trust wireless network access).

Purchase-to-Pay (P2P)You can also order products through your own P2P system. Product details can be exported from NHS Cat (online catalogue) onto your own system. You can place your order via electronic data interchange (EDI) onto our order management system. Orders are tracked through our online ordering system. For more information about P2P, contact your local customer service advisor (see next page for details).

Receiving, checking and returning your goodsDeliveries to meet your needsNHS Supply Chain is committed to providing a flexible and comprehensive delivery service to meet the needs of our customers.

All products will be ordered via the eDirect system, meaning they will be ordered and invoiced via NHS Supply Chain, but delivered directly by Kaiser + Kraft to the location in the trust specified with the order. Small items will be delivered by a parcel carrier in which case delivery will be made to the normal goods inwards point in your facility.

Through their single order solution, they offer ordering, delivery and invoicing arrangements to suit your needs, whilst ensuring maximum flexibility. From order to invoice, the process is simple, cost-effective, efficient and appropriate to your way of working, enabling you to focus on patient care and the things that matter most to you.

Receiving and checking your order• for all orders, please ensure staff are available to

accept deliveries made by the Kaiser + Kraft logistics partner Rhys Davies Freight Ltd (RDFL)

• these orders will be off-loaded at agreed delivery points and presented to the receiving staff for inspection, accompanied by a delivery note

• orders should be checked carefully upon receipt and order discrepancies or damaged products should be raised with the RDFL driver and noted on the delivery note

• any damaged products should be handed back to the driver making the delivery

• Kaiser + Kraft understands that it is possible that delivery damage can be concealed within delivery packaging and only becomes visible later and will always replace such goods if notified via NHS Supply Chain of the requirement for credit and re-supply within 5 working days of the original delivery.

Returning goods• The Kaiser + Kraft policy implemented via NHS

Supply Chain is to take back unsuitable goods up to 30 days after delivery and to issue full credit so long as the goods remain in original packaging and are unused.

• eDirect returns need to be advised to your local NHS Supply Chain customer service office together with your original order numbers and goods made available for collection by Kaiser + Kraft.
