A very happy summer to our members! Can you believe another school year is behind us? The Crescent Beach Swimming Club is now open for business.

Summer 2015 will see a few minor changes here and there, most notably the return of Sally the Seahorse on the bottom of the little pool. A huge thank you to our dedicated CBSC community for coming out in May and June for our two Clean-up Days. We are so grateful to our members for their commitment to keeping our club looking and running its best. After nearly a century, our facilities are looking better than ever!

This summer will also be the second year of using our computer registration system. Thank you to all of our members for their

patience last summer as we adapted to our new way of doing things. Building on our system’s success, we are proud to accept credit cards this year. For the first time in our 97-year history, our Club will take more than just cash and cheque. We know this comes as good news to many of our families.

It’s time now to dust off your bicycles, and settle into beach life. We wish you eight weeks of fantastic family memories that you just can’t get anywhere else – all on Crescent Beach Time. Looking forward to seeing you on the other side of the little green fence. Let’s get this summer started.

WELCOME TO CBSC'S TENNIS PROGRAM!

The CBSC Tennis Committee and Coaches are excited to offer a summer program of Progressive Tennis lessons for players of all skill levels and ages, starting from 4 years of age to adults. Additionally, players 6-16 years of age, at all skill levels, can sign up for CBSC league play.

CBSC COACHES CBSC Head Coach Steve Moore is a Tennis Canada Club Pro 2 and has been coaching for the past 10 years. WHAT IS PROGRESSIVE TENNIS? Progressive Tennis introduces the sport of tennis in a fun and interactive way and ensures immediate success for young players. Using modified tennis balls, racquets, nets and courts, young players are properly equipped to enjoy rallies and learn the fundamentals of the game early on. Skills are developed much quicker, allowing for an easy transition to full court tennis. Tennis Canada fully endorses Progressive Tennis.

WELCOME TO CBSC'S SAILING PROGRAM! The CBSC Sailing Program is designed to foster enthusiasm for sailing. Creative and energetic instructors create a fun and active learning environment for our sailors. Both beginning sailors and those returning to increase their skills will be individually challenged and rewarded as they achieve success throughout their courses.

Maximum class sizes of 12 students with 2 instructors allow for excellent sailor to coach interactions. Our fleet of Pirates are very well maintained.

The Pirate is a widely recognized training boat. Your child will receive excellent instruction in a safe, dependable dinghy. All skills are demonstrated on the water or at the dock, which means more time on the water. Let's have some fun on the water!

Lifejackets are not supplied. They are mandatory, must be worn, and must be government approved. We also recommend that sunscreen, hat and sailing shoes or closed-toe shoes be worn for all classes.
