The method of achieving the aim of the

association is by providing an enjoyable and

attractive scheme of progressive training,

based on the scout promise and law, and guided

by adult leadership.

Brief History

Our Scout Group was formed by amalgamating

the existing 29th & 7th Groups. Both groups

have been serving children in the Chantry and

Pinewood areas for many years.

The 36th Ipswich Scout Group has now completed the refurbishment of it’s headquarters building in Hawthorn Drive, Ipswich.

HQ COMMUNITY PROJECT The 36

th Ipswich Scout Group has recently completed a

large project to refurbish and extend their HQ building in Hawthorn Drive, so that it will be suitable for use by all community interests and comply with the Disability Discrimination Act and regulations for public buildings. If you belong to a club or organisation that would like to use a Hall, centrally located in the Chantry Estates, that will be open during the daytime hours, some evenings and weekends, then please contact: Tony Marsh, 01473 435 278
