Dear Islanders,

Move over October, here comes november! with only a month left till the end of 2017, we are getting excited for the festive season and all the wonderful things to come.

This month, we have an exciting new update for our residents. as part of the activeamwaj initiative, ‘The loop’, which started in October, will be held on a weekly basis. Turn to page 4 to find out all the details on routes, dates and how you can be part of it.

For those of us who celebrate Thanksgiving, make sure to check

out arT rotana’s Thanksgiving Brunch offer as well as many other new and exciting offers this month at many of their restaurant, turn to page 5 for more details.

as a part of arT rotana’s promise to support the local arts community, it is currently hosting Bahrain based painter naheed ali, as part of the hotel’s ongoing ‘seasons of arT’ initiative. a selection of her work will be displayed at the hotel throughout October.

This is the latest in a long line of artists who have been featured at the hotel and had the opportunity to gain exposure to the general public at no cost at all to the artist.

“I’m proud to call Bahrain my home. I have been fortunate enough to enjoy a long-standing career here and blessed with 3 wonderful children who bring me so much love and inspiration. I discovered my love of painting at a young age however, only dedicated time to it in the recent years.”

“I feel so privileged to be able to share my work with everyone and I hope my paintings will add beauty and joy to people’s lives and homes the way it does for myself.” she further added.

The ‘seasons of arT’ initiative forms part of the hotel’s mission to engage with the local arts community and establish the hotel as a hub for artists and arts enthusiasts alike.

join in on the fun! whether you can run at lightning speed or can stroll like superman – we would love you to join us every wednesday night from 25 October to 13 december!

The wonderful Bahrain weather is offering us superb conditions to bring this social event to Islanders which offers amwaj Islanders an opportunity to get out of their apartments and villas to get active and lead a healthy lifestyle! The course is only 6km in distance and is designed around an ‘out and back’ loop, taking you from amwaj Marina towards The dragon hotel and back – on the footpaths.

This is a series of 8 events. You can join at any time, but the more events you can tick off, the healthier lifestyle you will lead! so get on down this wednesday! a small fee of 2Bd is payable per participant and this goes to helping make this event happen!
