The idea for this project was to create a game character and animate different cyclesthat could be used in the game. The characters are members of bands that arecompeting in a literal battle of the bands, to show that their band and genreis the best. They engage in combat with the hope of being victorious.The characters that are entering the battle of the bands are personi cations ofthe genres that their band represents. Each genre would have a few different playablecharacters and each character has moves/special moves that are unique to the genre

that they belong to.

For the metal character I wantedto capture some of the extremestereotypes associated withthe music, such as heavy blackmake up and armor.

appeared frequently.

The pop character for me neededto be larger than life. She had tobe super cute and full of attitude.Early on I decided that I wantedher to have a giant bow and thatshe would be covered in pink.
