How Do It Know?
Unique to Basis is it’s mul]-‐sensor approach to tracking -‐ both Biology AND Mo]on. • Heart-‐rate sensor (op]cal blood flow) • Skin temp (accurate to tenth of a degree) • Perspira]on (calculated from galvanic skin response)
• 3d Accelerometer
Behavioral approach -‐ Habits
Unlock new Habits when You gain enough points E-‐mail no]ces report progress upon sync • met habit goal x ]mes this week • Sleep report
Why Limit The Habits?
I’d like to define my own habits, e.g… • 30 min walk between 6-‐7 AM • Sleep before 10:30 during weekday • Target heart rate 4 x week
Ac]vity Details – Way Cool!
Ac]vity Pa2erns – Ok

Meh… • Habits • Points / Rewards • Look and Comfort • Charge (bout 3 days max) • Device interface (both
bu2ons & auto-‐light mo]on) • Ac]vity Pa2erns
Feh!!!!!… • Craosmanship • Charger (mini-‐USB anyone?) • No Data Export • No Public API • No app or device integra]on • No Social • No longitudinal views
Overall View
• I get it! I see why Intel bought them • Minimal Viable Product approach – the good and the bad
• REALLY go2a provide API and integra]on…soon! There’s a window of opportunity
