Body building at a young age properly.

Reasons this might be importantThe reaons why this might be important is because William and Carol Ouchi High School just opened a new gym. This presentation might make it easier for students who dont have access to exersise equipment and assist them in bodybuilding. This may also help students who are not in shape become fit and healthy. Finally, the school population is mostly made up of minority students and minorities traditionally have the highest obesity rates in America.

Statistics show that... The rate of childhood obesity in this country has increased rapidly by the decade.

 Standards

33.2:The Muscular System. The muscular system is the system responsibe for bones and joints and pushes substances such as blood, food and fluids throughout the body. Muscles work constantly therefore needing a large supply of mitochondria  (which is found in the cell) and proteins.5.1 : Mitosis.Mitosis is when the cell divides in two.The main goal of mitosis is to help three things in the body: growth, healing and replacement. Muscle growth and repair are vital to bodybuilding. This is the reason that mitochondria and proteins are essential and where diet plays a crucial role.

Page 5: The bbl(204)

The importance of a proper nutrional diet.• High protein and high calorie foods help feed muscles and

increase growth.• Proper nutrition (more so than weightlifting) increases the

rate of mass growth.• Eating right also increases height.• Proper diet also increases the rate of mitosis which helps in

healing injuries and body growth.

Proper diet is 85% of body building2.

Genetics

• one thing that might have a factor Is genetics.• Genetics can play a big role because some people produce

more cells faster than others which can give them protein4.• Genetics can also form the main location where fat is stored5.

the pros and cons• Powerlifting, competitive weightlifting, and bodybuilding are

not recommended for teens who are still maturing. That's because these types of activities can cause serious injuries to growing bones, muscles, and joints.1

• One definite benefit of a properly followed bodybuilding regiment is an increase in muscle mass.

• A reckless bodybuilding routine can result in deformed muscles and stunted growth.

• Many teens who play sports have higher self-esteem than their less active pals.3

one deformed muscle are dimples

Page 11: The bbl(204)

How are defects caused

  • A defect like deformed muscles can be caused by heavy lifting,

inproper diet or lack of rest.• As a result of weightlifting muscles wear down and if not given

enough protein or rest muscles can form improperly.• Defects can easly be avoided by simple steps and techniques

Page 12: The bbl(204)

Easy and proper steps to decrease chances of defects.• Eat foods with high calories and proteins.• Get plenty of rest after a good work out. DONT BE ACTIVE.• Get plenty of sleep.• Dont overwork muscles. Different parts of the body should

be worked on different days. Also,  swicht routines.  • Changing it up helps avoid injuries and may balance muscle

development.• DONT TAKE STEROIDS!!!!!!!

Page 13: The bbl(204)

How does this help.

• It gives the body the proper nutrions to help recover after a good work out.

• Growth homones reproduce during sleep.• Being active after a workout stops your body from repairing

and leaves mucles weak and sore.• Over working leave muscles weaker than before.• Swicthing routines stops muscle from adapting to the same

work out.
