Last week, we held three kick-off assemblies to generate enthusiasm for this year’s event. The intent of the presentations was to stimulate our students to Bee Curious, Ask Questions, and Test Ideas. The Science Fair’s primary goal for students is to ignite a lifelong sense of curiosity and to figure out how to answer some of their own questions about how the world works. An important part of the process is also the presentation of their discoveries to their peers, parents, and teachers. By hosting the Science Fair we hope to nurture a sense of curiosity about the world and foster an understanding of the scientific method of inquiry. WEEKLY WISDOM FAQ of the Week Q: My friend wants to enroll her kindergartner at Blossom Hill. Can I take a packet for her?  A: Packets for kindergarten registration will be available in the front office starting Monday, February 5. It is best if a parent collects the packet so that either Mrs. Adams or Mrs. Sheehan can spend a couple of minutes walking him/her through what is required, and answer any questions they may have.

FAMILY WELLNESS Please join us for monthly discussions with Clinical Psychologist, Michal Ramon, regarding family social-emotional wellness at home and at school. Michal is a practicing clinician and has been involved with Project Cornerstone at Blossom Hill for many years. She brings knowledge regarding how to: model and foster prosocial behaviors; teach conflict resolution skills; nurture a sense of community;  and generally, navigate a growingly complex and fast-paced society. These elements are also reinforced with students in their classrooms through monthly Project Cornerstone readings and discussions.

All Blossom Hill adults are welcome! Please feel free to bring your younger children if you find yourself interested in attending but do not have childcare.

Meetings will be held on the following dates from 1:15 to 2:30 pm in room B3.
