Example
Right triangles have one angle which is a
right angle. A right angle is 90°, or 1/4 of
the way around a circle.
A scalene triangle has no equal sides
and no equal angles.

Isosceles triangles have two equal sides and
two equal angles. Triangles can also be called
triangular polygons.

Geometric Solids
A prism is a solid whose ends are parallel
polygons, which are equal in size and shape. If you
sliced a prism, all the slices would be the same size
and shape.

A cone is a shape with a circle for a base, and one
side which tapers evenly to a point.
A pyramid is a solid with a polygon for a base
and whose sides are triangles which uniting at a
point, called the vertex.

A cube is a prism with 6 sides. All the sides are
squares of equal size.
A cylinder is a solid with two parallel circles at
each end, which are equal in size and connected
by a straight tube. If you sliced a cylinder, all the
slices would be circles the same size.
