CROATIA WATERFALL HIKING AND SEA KAYAKINGJuly 1-5 Begin your Croatia Holiday in the Plitvice Lakes National Park, hiking the most incredible waterfall‐terraced 12km loop, before making way to a restaurant perched atop a trout river. Continuing down the coast, a ferry to Rab Island takes us to beach‐side huts to rest, swim and cook as a group. Saturday begins a 3‐day, 2‐night kayak tour across sites just unimaginable: remote sandy islands, towering cliffs, a submarine cave, archeological sites and beyond. Price includes all travel costs, guided hike, 1‐night stay in huts, 3‐day/2‐night sea kayak tour with food and camping/sleep/kayak gear.

WINE TASTINGJuly 8Spend the evening relaxing at one of our little hidden treasure local wine destinations. Outdoor Recreation will take you to a Regensburg Wine Cellar, a Sinzing Winery, and the cozy Gut Loeweneck Cafe located on the scenic Naab River. Each wine outing offers a diverse sampling of German and Italian wines paired with various artisan appetizers. Price: $39/adult.

SALZBURG, AUSTRIAJuly 9 For those who love to explore and see grand European sights, this is your city. Start out with a 2‐hour walking tour with a local guide then you choose your next steps. Check out Mozart’s birth home or feast on the famous Sacher Torte chocolate cake. Visit the Mirabell Gardens or hike up to the iconic Hohensalzburg Fortress. We will watch the Sound of Music on the luxury charter bus ride there so you might want to take one of the film‐based tours available inside or outside the city. YOGA HIKE EVENINGJuly 13Through the power of yoga and the cardio of hiking, top off whatever day you’ve had and decide what kind of day will be tomorrow. Join your yoga instructor and adventure guide, as she takes you on a short evening hike up to one of her favorite retreats. Breathe and move through a vinyasa flow to end with a cool down hike and perhaps a healthy drink at a local biergarten. Price: $20/person.

KARAOKE July 15, 7-11 p.m.If you’re looking to spice up your evening and enjoy a night of local performers singing and dancing to your favorite music, this night at the Zone is just right for you.

CONQUER THE ZUGSPITZEJuly 23-24At least once during your time in Germany, you need to stand on its highest peak and kiss the historic cross! Day One: Hike 6 hours through the famed Partnachklamm and Reintal Valley. We’ll stay at the Reintalanderhuette, one of the most colorful huts in the Alps. Day Two: Continue up the steeper slopes to the Zugspitzplatt. Price includes guide, overnight in hut w/breakfast, cable car ride down, transport to Garmisch and klettersteig gear. BERLIN STREET ART AND GRAFFITI WORKSHOPJuly 30Uncover Berlin’s vibrant underground art scene on this 4.5‐hour private tour. Set off in search of some of the city’s best street art with your very own personal guide. See works by more than 50 local and international artists, including Blu, Osgemeos and ROA. YOUTH FALL SPORTS REGISTRATIONUntil July 31Sports offered are: Soccer (Ages 3-15), Football & Cheerleading (Ages 6-15) and Cross Country (Ages 10-15). A copy of a sport physical (valid through November 15) must be on file at Parent Central Services before the start of the first scheduled practice to participate in both practices and games. CYSS “ALL STAR” PROGRAMOur staff work very hard to make sure that children are well cared for and have every opportunity to grow and develop. The ‘All Star’ program is set up to show staff how much we appreciate them and recognize their tireless efforts of caring for our Children and Youth. Please help us out by writing ‘star notes’ for excellence that you see. Each facility has a special location for the ‘All Star’ cards to be posted. At the end of each month, the cards will be collected and an award will be given for the caregiver who has the most ‘Star Cards’.

HALLO HOHENFELS NEWCOMERS ORIENTATIONJuly 12-15This is the place to be if you’re new to the community. In addition to learning some German language, you will explore local communities, a local bakery and butcher shop, discover Mobelhof, a huge home decorating store and spend the final day on a site seeing visit to Regensburg. Find out how your new community works without doing everything yourself and make some new friends at the same time. Special DOUBLE bonus: a visit to the epicenter of the rotations: the ‘Star Wars’ building AND a visit to the training area, a “Box Tour.”

SMOOTH MOVE WORKSHOPJuly 20, 1-3 p.m. Is your upcoming PCS stressing you out? How do I plan for a PCS move? Are you lost and have no idea what to do? When should you contact your landlord to let them know you’re leaving? How much will the move cost me? Will my spouse be able to find a job at our next duty station? What am I entitled to? SURVIVAL GERMAN 101 – 4-PART SERIESJuly 25, 26 27 & 28, 5:15-7:15 p.m.An introduction to Survival German will make it easier for you to order food in restaurants, shop, travel, ask for directions and understand German doctors. You will simply feel more comfortable living in Germany. This could be the best use of 8 hours of your life ever. Important Note: These are sequential classes that build on each other. You need to attend all four classes.

SURVIVAL GERMAN 201 – 4-PART SERIESJuly 25 & 29, 9:30-11:30 a.m.August 1 & 5, 9:30-11:30 a.m.The continuation into Survival German (Level 2) that will add greater confidence, vocabulary and enlightenment into your German language ability.
