KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER

Always keep in mind when bringing together biodiversity and

ecosystem services + business peopleworld

1) leveling understanding of terms and do not take understanding for

granted appropriate language is essential (your expertise in biology

and ES is usually NOT theirs some basic concepts should be reviewed

briefly not too childish and not too sophisticated)

2) time is money (go strait to the point)

3) partner up (encourages taking steps and strengthens capacity

building)

KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER

And also

4) be aware of the scenario around you and them (regional national

and international)

5) acknowledge good practices (recognize good practices and give

them visibility)

6) bring other business people and companies (share that doing more

is not necessarily expensive nor complicated + positive examples from

other mates help engage even skeptical people)

7) always listen (listen but trying to find solutions for bottlenecks)

KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER

Always specially

8) sharing new experiences and information is essential (communicate

well importance and relevance)

9) be patient (you can do your best but there are sustainability levels of

maturity in companies and people sometimes they are not ready for

changes)

10) never give up

(it was never expected to be something easyworking with youth is

wonderful they are and always will be our future but changing

decision making minds in the present is urgently needed too)

hellipwe believe that ESD is essential to promote

a better and sustainable future for all

ALL THIS BECAUSE

THANK YOU

TEEB PROJECT PARTNERSHIP

- Biodiversity in Brazil - ABS (access and benefit-sharing)
