Announcements for April 16, 2017

ADULT BIBLE STUDY

Our final study of the 2016-17 Christian education season begins this Tuesday, April 18, at 10:00 a.m. and Wednesday, April 19, at 6:45 p.m. in Souers Hall. This four-week study, From Jerusalem to the Ends of the Earth: The Early Church, focuses on some of the difficulties the early believers encountered as they tried to follow Jesus in a Roman-Greco context. In preparation for the first week please read Matthew 22:15-22; Mark 12:13-17; Luke 20:20-26 & Matthew 14:22-36; Mark 6:45-56; John 6:16-24 prior to our time together if possible. The first leg of our journey will take us to Scythopolis, Bethsaida, and Korazin.

CAREGIVER’S SUPPORT GROUP

The Caregiver Support Group meets next Sunday, April 23, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room North. The goal of this support group is to teach and encourage self-care, as well as provide a forum of support and understanding from others facing similar situations. Participants in the group are bonding through shared experiences, the sharing of stories and resources. Kathy Bilak and Pastor Lynne are facilitating.

Women’s Christian Service Fellowship, (W.C.S.F.), is hosting the Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon on Saturday, May 13, 2017 in Souers Hall from 11:30 a.m.—1:30 p.m. If your last name begins with A-M, please bring a dessert (12 people); if your last name begins with N-Z, please bring a salad (6—8 people).
