From Father Brian:

I cannot thank you all enough for the prayers, support,

offers to help in anyway since the announcement of my

medical leave. I have received one round of chemothera-

py so far and my stem cells were successfully gathered and

are prepared to be transplanted on February 18th. In antici-

pation of the several days of chemotherapy and hospitaliza-

tion prior to that date I will be away from the parishes be-

ginning January 25th. During that time i will make my

yearly spiritual retreat and spend some time with family

and friends. There will be a three week stay at least at Beth

Israel's East Campus followed by recuperation at my family

home in Quincy. Once cleared by my doctors I plan to re-

turn to the parishes. Until that time Fr Bob Connors will

coordinate the life of the parishes along with visiting

priests. I will keep you all informed as things progress and

in my daily prayers.

Peace

Father Brian

Please note that all checks must be made paya-

ble to either St Ann Parish OR St Brendan Par-

ish, and not the Collaborative, in order for the

checks to be processed. The Parishes have sep-

arate bank accounts and there is no account in

the name of the Collaborative . Thank you!

Remembering St. Ann’s & St. Brendan’s

Many people have given bequests over the

years to our parish collaborative and we are

grateful for their generosity. Gifts and be-

quests are a line item in our parish budgets

and as the fiscal year comes to a close some

have inquired about the logistics of giving a

large or small gift as part of your estate plan-

ning. If you would like more information

about how this can be done in loving memory

of anyone in your life please contact our fi-

nance manager Nancy Lafoe or any member of

our finance councils.
