Integrated health and social care is an approach characterised by a high degree of collaboration and communication, where a person’s care may be provided by several different health and social care professionals, across different providers. People benefit from care that is person-centred and co-ordinated within healthcare settings, across mental and physical health and across health and social care. For care to be integrated, organisations and care professionals need to bring together all of the different elements of care that a person needs.

Does your organisation find it challenging recruiting staff? Are you looking to start your career or change direction?Could your organisation benefit from a unique programme tailored specifically to you?Could you benefit from mandatory training being embedded within an apprenticeship programme?

Apprenticeships are a perfect solution for current employees and those looking to start work in the industry, blending training with real work experience.

Employers: Talk to us about tailoring your own bespoke Apprenticeship programme. This will enable you to embed specific training relevant to your own organisation at a time that is convenient to you. If you have your own suitable training room, our tutors can come to you. We also offer advice and guidance for anyone looking to study an Apprenticeship.

Duchy Care has created a bespoke Apprenticeship programme in partnership with the College. The training was tailored to meet the needs of the business, which required its Apprentices to work with adults with learning disabilities and dementia.

The bespoke programme also provided the learners with additional knowledge in MCA/DOLS and safeguarding adults, person-centered approaches and the role of the social care worker.

Zoe Hughes, Duchy Care Manager said: “we have worked in partnership with Truro and Penwith College to develop an Apprenticeship programme that works for our organisation. The training has seen staff grow in confidence and expand their knowledge, encouraging them to learn more and advance within the workplace. I now recognise the value of Apprenticeships within our organisation”.
