Invasive Breast Cancer Doesn’t Wait...NEITHER SHOULD YOU!

Studies show breast cancer screening with 3D mammography can increase early detection by

as much as 41%!

Invasive breast cancer is a stage of cancer that has already begun to spread into surrounding tissue, so early detection becomes even more critical. 3D mammography is the latest screening tool in the battle against invasive

breast cancer.

3D mammography may find cancers missed with conventional 2D mammography. Please check with your insurance carrier to see if 3D mammograms are covered.

Self-referred screening mammograms are available by calling: (309) 647-5240 ext. 2860.

Justin Minyard9-11 Pentagon

First Responder, Pain Patient

Justin was forced to retire early due to debilitating chronic pain. He first developed back pain as a result of being a first responder at the 9-11 Pentagon attacks when moving huge pieces of rubble and concrete to help find others. To make matters worse, he fell 20 meters during a combat mission. After this, Justin struggled for years with serious chronic

pain, and developed a dependence on the opiate pain meds that were provided as treatment. Come learn about the drastic change Justin’s life has taken since then, and how he was able to overcome his pain and find lasting relief.

Maintaining regular check-ups is 1 of 5 health habits that can improve a woman’s health. The others include: • Physical Activity • A Healthy Diet • Not Smoking • Following General Safety Rules

The focus in May should be on the importance of incorporating simple preventive and positive health behaviors into everyday life. During National Women’s Health Month, please discuss with your healthcare provider which tests are right for you, when they should have them, and how often.

Millions of patients unnecessarily suffer with non-healing advanced wounds, when there is simply no need to. We offer individualized treatments plans based off of the cause of the wound, age of the wound, state of the wound, and the patient’s ability to care for the wound at home. We have a variety of advanced therapies to help with hard-to-heal and chronic wounds not reacting to conservative treatment, including, but not limited to, hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call (309) 649-6867. Self-referrals are accepted, meaning: you do not need a physician’s order for your wound to be assessed and treated.

Selecting the best nursing school can be difficult. To make the process easier, first look for a school that supports students towards licensure and beyond. A great way to measure this is through NCLEX-RN “pass rates.” RegisteredNursing.org ranked the top 30 nursing schools in Illinois by analyzing current and historical NCLEX-RN “pass rates,” meaning the percentage of graduates who pass the exam, out of the 78 RN programs in the state. Programs reviewed include schools that offer an Associate in Nursing (ADN/ASN), BSN, or Direct-Entry MSN Degree.

We are proud to announce that we are ranked #11 out of #78!!!

The Graham Hospital School of Nursing in Canton has been admitting students into its 3-year diploma program since 1909. With three state-of-the-art simulation labs and a variety of social activities throughout the school year, the school supports their students in numerous ways.
