and he is Dave McClure, creator of AARRR concept

Dave originally coined the term in a presentation.

He presented AARRR framework which is divided in 5 steps.

The aim being to make people move from one step to another.

People will move from signing up to your product (Acquisition), to giving you money

(Revenue).

when people visit your website your marketing efforts has worked successfully pulled the visitors to your website

Acquition

when visitors signups for your service crucial stage visitors become users

Activation

users have used the product or app created their first project or paid for the first month focus on getting those users coming back regularly crucial for success and revenue pipeline

Retention

world of mouth marketing is best performing ROI potential to grow user base exponentially users think their contacts could benefit from product

Referrals

crucial part of avoiding vanity metrics place the other 4 stages before revenue w/o them you’re just wasting your time
