CIVLS IMPROVEMENTSOn Line Tax Collector Capabilities
• Real Time Put-ons / Take-offs– CIVLS will provide Tax Collectors access to a “Portal” to do real time
put-ons and take-offs (CIVLS term: Add/Remove Exceptions) so that the customer can go back home and register (i.e. renew) their registrations on-line
– DMV would also support the Towns processing the renewals for their citizens at a fee not to exceed $2 (and/or no fee if the Town prefers) so the customer can have a one-stop experience with their local Municipality • As with any new service offering, the DMV would advise speaking with
Municipal Corporate Counsel prior to exercising this option.
