Function

ATTENTION!Adjustment of flushing programs only possible in the first 10 s after initiation(as soon as battery is inserted)

Red LED flashes:* Once = Prog. 1 - Standard (without continuous flow resp. continuous flow)** Twice = Prog. 2 - Continuous flow*** Third = Prog. 3 - Cleaning stop**** Fourth = Prog. 4 - Continuous flow and cleaning stop***** Fifth = Prog. 5 - Continuous flow for thermal disinfection, hygiene flush 3 h ****** Sixth = Prog. 6 - Continuous flow for thermal disinfection, hygiene flush 24 h

Establish close range reflex and remove hand at the desired program (LED blinks x times) - the control confirms the program by blinking twice quickly.

Afterwards there are further 10 s for changing the flushing program again. After lapse of this time, the device blinks 3 times quickly and it changes into normal function.

To change the program anew, make the armature currentless again for 60 s (separate mains supply or remove battery) Afterwards a new adjustement of fllushing programs is possible.

After an electrical power outage or battery changing the last adjusted program will be saved!

Hints for error diagnostics

Cleaning stop ■ For cleaning purposes you can adjust a short-term cleaning stop mode or continuous flow. (Adjustment see page 26) If you keep your hands too close to the IR screen window when using the tap, in rare cases it can happen that the cleaning stop or continuous flow is activated by mistake. Deactivation of these modes is achieved by anew proximity reflex (hold your hand in front of the sensor window in a distance of about 2 cm for 3 – 4 s)

Waterdrops and other pollutions on screen window ■ Waterdrops and other pollutions respect. damages (also small scratches) on the screen window can deflect or weaken the optical path of the sensor. This can lead to a reduction of the approaching area up to a non function. On the other hand it can also lead to a self activation of the tap.

Water in the casing of the tap ■ The tap fulfils the demands to leak tightness for conventional use. When cleaning with stream water, high pressure cleaner or steam cleaner it´s possible that water enters the casing (through the cable connecting drill, which passes under the washstand). Therefore always dry the inside of the tap fitting upper part, the screen window and the electronic module with a cloth after opening. The electronic module itself is protected against humidity through grouting. Waterdrops f.ex. between the window and the electronic module can deflect or weaken the optical path of the sensor. This can lead to a reduction of the approaching area up to a non function. On the other hand it can also lead to a self activation of the tap. If there is a very strong humidity within the casing of the tap the battery can be damaged.

Reflux-preventers with prefilter

Pre-flushing of the pipeline network ■ Before connecting the tap to the corner valves the pipeline network has to be pre-flushed.

Use of the reflux-preventers with dirtfilter ■ The delivered dirt filters have to be installed necessarily in order to prevent a disturbance of the function of the magnetic valve by entering solids. Without reflux-preventers faulty activations are possible. Furthermore a connection among cold and hot water is given.

Maximum clamping torque of preflux-preventers ■ The reflux-preventers have to be tightened hand-screwed. If the maximum clamping torque of 2Nm will be passed over the sealing could be damaged and water can leak through.

The delivered reflux-preventers with integrated prefilter have to be installed necessarily.

If the filter is dirty, switch off the corner valves, screw off the reflux-pre-venters and clean the filter or change it if necessary.

Changing the battery

Open screw backwards by socket wrench SW 2,5.

Remove carefully battery cover upwards.

Remove old battery – install new battery. The battery can be put in at any polarity. The contacts of the battery have to show to the bottom.

After changing the battery the tap must not be released for 60 s.

Changing the electronic module

Cleaning resp. changing the magnetic valve

Open screw backwards by socket wrench SW 3. Attention! Close water supply at the corner valve.

Remove carefully tap fitting upper part upwards.Attention! Water may discharge.

Open screw by socket wrench SW 2,5 and remove the hood of the electronic module.

Open screw backwards by socket wrench SW 2,5.

Remove carefully battery cover upwards.

Remove the battery.

Disconnect the electronic module and the compensating ring.

Connect the new electronic module and attach it to the tap lower part. Take care of thecable - don´t crush it!

Mount the tap in reversed order again.

Remove hood and electronic module as explained above.

Unscrew and remove the magnetic valve.

The dirt filter is in the bot-tom area of the valve, where the water flows in.

Clean the filter with water a nd a small brush if necessary or use a new valve.

Insert a new or cleaned magnetic valve. Attention! Grease o-ring gasket.

Turn in the valve very care-fully by hand. To avoid damages don´t pass over the clamping torque of 1 Nm.

After the valve is screwed in, open slowly the corner valve and check if the valve is screwed in leak-proof.The valve is a bistable pulse valve and could be open.

Afterwards the appliance has to be installed in controversial succession.

Changing the window

Permitted cleaning agents and cleaning methods ■ For cleaning the tap use a moist and soft cloth. For strong dirt you can also use a standard glass cleanser. For cleaning the aerator use a cleanser for scale. After cleaning the tap has to be dried. Cleaning with a high pressure cleaner, steam cleaner, spray and stream water is impermissible and can damage the tap. Furthermore don´t use abrasives and raspy sponges!

Waterdrops, condensation water and other impurities of the screen window ■ Waterdrops, condensation water and other impurities on the screen window can deflect or weaken the optical path of the sensor. This can lead to a reduction of the activity range up to non function. On the other hand the def

Further assistance

Damages of the sensor window could switch or weaken the optical path of the sensor. This could cause a reduction of the active range or a total malfunction of the control. Furthermore self activation of the control could be the result.

In this case please check the infrared screen window for scratches or dirt and clean or change it if necessary.
