The Leader Fund (Partner) Scholarships

The Leader Fund Parters’ schlorships include Baker

College, Mott Community College, McLaren Lapeer

Region, Jim Riehl’s Friendly Automotive Group, Sovita

Credit Union, and the View Newspaper Group. Six great

scholarships fund seniors with GPA’s of 3.0 or higher,

leadership/integrity/community service, and plans to

attend college or trade/tech. school. Deadline to apply

is March 22, 2019 for all six!

The Leader Fund Scholarships

The Leader Fund will honor four seniors of exceptional

character, integrity, and scholarship with $1000 each!

Community service, plans to attend post-secondary

institutions, and leadership are a must. Deadline is

March 22, 2019.

Mott Trustees’ Leadershipp Scholarship

Seniors planning to attend Mott next year are

encouraged to apply for this prestigious award of

$12,000! Minimum GPA 3.0 and demonstrated

leadership in academics, and community engagement.

Deadline is March 29, 2019.

2019 Josie Rewald Scholarship

Females majoring in engineering and entering a

community college transferrable program can apply by

April 1, 2019.

Women’s National Farm & Garden Scholarship

Lapeer Wildflowers Branch, MI Div.

$500 award to student planning to attend school to

study environmental, agriculture, or horticulture. Min

GPA required. Deadline April 12, 2019

Jean and Stewart Thiemkey Scholarship Award

This $1000 scholarship is renewable for up to 4 years,

and is specific to students going into the profession of

teaching. Minimum GPA and test scores required. See

Mrs Abraham in counseling for details. Deadline is April

6, 2019.

Ohio-Michigan Association of Career Colleges

and Schools LEADS! Scholarship Student

Application Deadline: April 12, 2019

Lapeer County Chapter of Michigan Association

of Retired School Personnel (MARSP)

One $750 scholarship for a Lapeer County graduating

senior with a minimum GPA of 2.75. Deadline is April

24, 2019.

The Lapeer County EMS Association

EMS Family Scholarship

Seniors planning to attend post-secondary training in

the EMS field (police, fire, ambulance, or dispatch)

have a parent in these fields, and have minimum 2.5

GPA may apply for this $500 award. April 30th deadline.

The Lapeer County EMS Association

Larry Peplinski Memorial Scholarship

Lapeer County seniors of good character with a GPA of

2.5 or better, and who plan to attend a college/post-

secondary institution for a medical profession can

apply for this $500 scholarship by April 30, 2019.

Lakestone Scholarship

Graduating seniors can apply for the $1000, renewable

scholarship by April 1, 2019. Students must be a

resident of Lapeer, St Clair, or Macomb counties.

Needs-based scholarship, essay required.

Marjorie L. Corey Memorial/ Hadley

Township Chamber of Commerce Scholarship

Graduating Senior with preference to ties to Hadley

Township. Community Service is a plus. Essay

required; deadline is April 1, 2019

AIA Flint Donald E. Lee Architeture Scholarship

Students pursuing an Associate’s degree or Bachelor

degree in Architecture may apply for up to $5000.

Samples of art/portfolio required. Deadline May 1, 2019

A Hero’s Legacy: The Joe Johnson Foundation

Seniors who have a parent who has been injured or

killed while in the service may apply for the Joe

Johnson Legacy Foundation Scholarship which honors

a fallen son. Future plans, resume, intent to pursue

post-secondary education are required. Deadline is

May 1, 2019.

Lapeer County Association for Family &

Community Education Scholarship

One $500 award will be given to a graduating senior

who plans to major in education, medical, agriculture,

or veterinary science. Minimum GPA is 3.0. Deadline is

May 3, 2019

Lapeer County Bar Association Scholarship

This scholarship of $2000 is for a graduating senior

who intends to pursue a law-related career. Minimum

GPA is 3.0, community involvement/volunteer work,

academic achievement, and financial need. Deadline is

May 10, 2019.

Opportunity Knocks! Explore Options!

Talent Tours/Job Shadows: In conjunction with

LCAN ( Lapeer College Access Network) and Michigan

Works!, we are able to offer our students the opportunity to

visit many area businesses. Our current offerings are Quest

Industries (precision machining, tooling, engineering) on

March 22nd, and Hurley Medical Center on May 17 (medical

careers). Please sign up in counseling. Space is limited.
