◦ Identify at least 3 types of risk to be aware of when your Sport Club is active
◦Explain at least 3 different ways to reduce risk in their Sport Club members, facility, equipment, and events
◦ Inform all members of their group regarding their Sport Club’s Emergency Action Plan
What is Risk Management?The control of financial and personal
injury loss from sudden, unforeseen, unusual accidents and intentional torts (Ammon, 1993)
A management strategy to increase control over legal uncertainty that may wreak havoc on a sport business (Wong & Masteralexis, 1998)
Reducing exposure to danger, harm, or hazards that lead to lawsuits (Mulrooney & Farmer, 1998)
