THE ARTEMIS CENTER Helping Victims of Domestic Violence Tuesday, May 14

Our neighbor just two blocks away, the Artemis Center, has served the Miami Valley area for over twenty-seven years, providing victim advocacy, support, systems advocacy and child therapy services. The mission of the Artemis Center is Leading the Community in its Commitment to End Domestic Violence. Patti Schwarztrauber, Executive Director, will inform us how they work to accomplish their mission through support and empowerment of victims, education of the community, coordination and leadership of community efforts to respond to domestic violence. This is a great opportunity for The DWC to help other women in need. At this time, the Center is in need of the following items: baby food and formula, Lysol wipes, hand sanitizer, canned fruit, canned chicken or tuna, pasta sauces, pasta, hearty canned soups, individually wrapped snack foods, granola bars, instant oatmeal packages and peanut butter and jelly. Any items that you can donate will be greatly appreciated. There is a box at the front desk marked Artemis Center that will be there until May 14th to receive your donations.
