Exchanges and Return of Product

The Alcoholic Beverages Division (“Division”) implemented an electronic ordering system in the latter part of 2015, which replaced our manual order entry process. This system update had a projected goal of fewer products ordered in error, however this did not occur.

The Division is in the process of revising its protocols in regards to "error in delivery" initiated by the Class E license holder. We will ensure our protocols are in line with Federal TTB Regulations in regards to exchanges and return of products.

A letter will be sent out to every Class E license holder with more details in the near future.

Holiday ScheduleStores with a Normal Order cut off Monday, Dec 24th, will have to place their orders on or before Friday, December 21st, with regular cut-off times observed. Delivery for after Christmas (New Year’s delivery) will be at your regular delivery time one day later.

Stores with a Normal Order cut off Tuesday, Dec 25th, will have to place their order no later than their normal order cut off Wednesday, Dec 26th. Delivery for after Christmas (New Year’s delivery) will be at your regular delivery time one day later.

Stores with a Normal Order cut off Wednesday, Dec 26th, will have to place their order no later than their normal order cut off Thursday, Dec 27th. Delivery for after Christmas (New Year’s delivery) will be at your regular delivery time one day later.

Stores with a Normal Order cut off Thursday, Dec 27th, will have to place their order no later than their normal order cut off Friday, Dec 28th. Their delivery will be Saturday about normal delivery time.

Stores with a Normal Order cut off Friday, Dec 28th, will place their order like normal and receive their delivery Monday Dec 31st.

Stores with a Normal Order cut off Monday, Dec 31st, will order normally. Delivery for after this holiday will be at your regular time one day later.

Stores with a Normal Order cut off Tuesday, Jan 1st, will have to place their order no later than their normal order cut off Wednesday, Jan 2nd. Their delivery will be one day later than normal.

Stores with a Normal Order cut off Wednesday, Jan 2nd, will have to place their order no later than their normal order cut off Thursday, Jan 3rd. Their delivery will be one day later than normal.

Stores with a Normal Order cut off Thursday, Jan 3rd, will have to place their order no later than their normal order cut off Friday, Jan 4th. Their delivery will be on Saturday normal delivery time.

Stores with a Normal Order cut off Friday, Jan 4th, will place their order normal and receive their delivery normal.

Iowa ABD Age to Purchase Mobile App

ABD will be releasing a free mobile application that allows users to access the Age to Purchase Calendar with their smartphone. The Age to Purchase Calendar will help calculate the age of a customer attempting to purchase

alcohol or tobacco products. The app also has a built-in ID scanning function. Using the camera feature on the device, the app can scan the

barcode on an ID to quickly help determine age and validity. No personal information of the customer is stored on the device. This will be available

soon via the App Store and Google Play Store.

Hennessy VS Now Unlimited

The Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division and supplier Moet Hennessy have reviewed the supply of Hennessy VS. Due to continued replenishment of this brand, it has been determined that all sizes of Hennessy VS will move to an unlimited limit per delivery for the foreseeable future.
