Shot 1

M/S- of Sarah looking towards the light, I believe this was used to show a positive ending of the main character surviving .

In this first scene Sarah spots daylight and is heading towards it, at this point us as viewer believe Sarah is safe.

The lighting within the background is quite dark which emphasises the strip of light through the middle of the shot, and also by doing this implies the first positive in the movie so far.

Shot 2

W/S-of Sarah’s hand breaking through the ground, used to show the importance of daylight and her determination and urge to get out of the cave. Also to us as the audience hope is suggested as the main character Sarah is breaking free.

Within this scene we see Sarah in a rush to escape, in this scene we see Sarah hand reaching out by using this camera angle it highlights the importance of life as she is the remaining character.

The lighting is quite bright compared to the cave, I believe this was used to show a change and also what we think as a positive ending.

Shot 3

W/S- of Sarah running towards her car, used to show her urge to escape and also to show face expression of shock.

In shot 3 we have a clear image of Sarah running towards her getaway car, in this scene the camera movements are quite fast to link in with the tempo.

In this shot the lighting is very bright on Sarah, I believe to captures all her movement from the escape. Also to make her standout from the dark, dull forest which suggests a surreal and gloomy place to be within.

Shot 4

C/U – of Sarah face as she driving away, I believe this was used to show tension.

In shot 4 Sarah is escaping by herself in her car, I captured this shot because I believe it show the significances of the main character and also a clear image of her emotions.

The camera movements are quite quick from Sarah face to a mid shot then cuts back onto Sarah's face, by doing this it highlights the themes of pressure and anxiety through her face expressions and ours us as viewers.

Shot 5

M/S-of Sarah seeing Juno within her car, I feel this was used to show Sarah’s guilty consents.

In this scene we see a quick shot of Juno within the car, automatically us as viewers are confused and don’t’ know what is about to happen.

The lighting is quite dark just showing the outline of Juno which exposes a sudden factor of shock.

Shot 6

W/S- suddenly it cuts back into the cave and Sarah is starring at the torch, I feel it was used to show confusion and a dream like situation. Also a flashback of her daughter is included I believe this was used to show the importance of her to Sarah.

In this final shot it cuts back into the cave and we see a clear image of Sarah starring at the torch as she believes it’s her daughter, in this scene Sarah is just starring at what she thinks is Jessica and doesn’t have a care for the creatures the crawlers, and is just express flashbacks of Jessica.

The lighting within the background is dark ,I feel it was used to make Sarah standout and also to portray her memories as we don’t know what going to happen to her.
