![Page 3: The Dubs Internet Show Presentation](https://reader033.vdocument.in/reader033/viewer/2022061115/5464031baf795992368b4733/html5/thumbnails/3.jpg)
Let’s call a spade a spade ...
![Page 4: The Dubs Internet Show Presentation](https://reader033.vdocument.in/reader033/viewer/2022061115/5464031baf795992368b4733/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
Traditional branding & marketing is about controlling the customer
![Page 5: The Dubs Internet Show Presentation](https://reader033.vdocument.in/reader033/viewer/2022061115/5464031baf795992368b4733/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
But social media is about relationships
Whatever they may be...
![Page 6: The Dubs Internet Show Presentation](https://reader033.vdocument.in/reader033/viewer/2022061115/5464031baf795992368b4733/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
Put the two together and you have ...
…a controlling relationship
![Page 7: The Dubs Internet Show Presentation](https://reader033.vdocument.in/reader033/viewer/2022061115/5464031baf795992368b4733/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
Let’s park that thought for now ...
![Page 8: The Dubs Internet Show Presentation](https://reader033.vdocument.in/reader033/viewer/2022061115/5464031baf795992368b4733/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
To get reach brands go above the line
Because they hope like hell for uplift
![Page 9: The Dubs Internet Show Presentation](https://reader033.vdocument.in/reader033/viewer/2022061115/5464031baf795992368b4733/html5/thumbnails/9.jpg)
But why is the audience watching TV?
![Page 10: The Dubs Internet Show Presentation](https://reader033.vdocument.in/reader033/viewer/2022061115/5464031baf795992368b4733/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
It’s not to watch a brand’s ad is it.

“Modern marketing embraces the convergence of entertainment, media and brands.”
“We’re going to have to make our brands much more media properties in their own right, we…have to connect much more with content and make our brands more relevant.”
Keith Weed, CMO, Unilever

How to craft social content
![Page 14: The Dubs Internet Show Presentation](https://reader033.vdocument.in/reader033/viewer/2022061115/5464031baf795992368b4733/html5/thumbnails/14.jpg)
Social Content - some do’s & don’ts
For example…
Use a simple concept – it’s easily understoodDon’t get complex – too many moving parts
Be authentic – people like genuine Don’t be contrived – it reeks of false campaign
Create content relevant to your customer base Don’t get off brand. It may be popular, but do they buy
Think long-tail contentDon’t think short-term campaign
