President’s MessageWhat a wonderful turn out we had for the Louisiana Tour in Hammond. A great big THANKS and JOB
WELL DONE goes out to the Horseless Carriage for putting on a great tour. After missing the first two tours ofthis year, Ray and I were very happy to see all of you at the Louisiana Tour.
The Board of Directors Meeting went very well. I hope that Chapter presidents will share ourdiscussions with their members. We were also very happy to have present at the meeting Mr. John Myers, whois a past president of AACA. We were very happy to have him and his wife Nancy with us for the LouisianaTour.
Another big GREAT JOB was performed by the Evangeline Chapter on their Tour and Rally. We hadanother great turn out. The route was a very beautiful drive. I think all that ran the Rally had a great timeanswering the questions. Thanks again to all that participated and thanks to those that worked for the Tour andRally.
Our next Chapter sponsored event will be Baton Rouge Chapter in September. This looks like awonderful tour to attend. This tour will be followed by the St. Bernard Car Show in October, Crusin the Coastin Mississippi in October, and the Lagniappe Tour in November.I hope that everyone will try and attend these events.
Our Louisiana Region AACA Christmas Party will be held at Landry's Seafood Restaurant in Hendersonagain this year. The date of the party will be December 5, 2010. There will be more information in theupcoming Duster. Also in the Duster, the ballot for President and Secretary/ Treasurer will be printed. Pleasetake the time to vote. Prayer for Hurricane Season
O God, master of this passing world, hear the humble voices of your children. The Sea of Galileeobeyed your order and returned to its former quietude. You are still the Master of land and sea. Welive in the shadow of a danger over which we have no control: the Gulf, like a provoked and angrygiant, can awaken from its seeming lethargy, overstep its conventional boundaries, invade our land
and spread chaos and disaster.
During this hurricane season we turn to you O loving Father. Spare us from past tragedies whosememories are still so vivid and whose wounds seem to refuse to heal with the passing of time. O
Virgin, Star of the Sea, Our Beloved Mother, we ask you to plead with your Son on our behalf, so thatspared from the calamities common to this area and animated with a true spirit of gratitude, we will
walk in the footsteps of your divine Son to reach heavenly Jerusalem where a stormless eternity awaitsus. AMEN.
Imprimatur: August 29, 1967Maurice Schexnayder, Bishop of Lafayette in Louisiana

It looks like Louisiana will be well represented at
the 75th anniversary of AACA. Seven couples from
Lagniappe, four from Slidell and 6 couples from
Evangeline chapters.
The dash plaque layouts look good for the tour in
Kentucky. We still have three weeks to register for
the 75th Anniversary of AACA tour.
Being no other business a motion to adjourn wasmade by Gary Labat, seconded by JohnnyWaguespack, voted and unanimously approved.Meeting adjourned.
Respectfully submitted by Brenda Derouen,Secretary/Treasurer.
