PURPOSE
Original Nation Magazine was conceived by faithful and humble followers of the principles and practices of Islam as taught by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (God). Writings in this periodical shall consist of thoughts of Black Men and Black Women (Original Mus-lims) – those who bear witness that Allah (God), the Supreme Being, came in the Person of Master W. F. Muhammad and raised Messenger Elijah Muhammad as the Divine Leader, Teacher and Guide for us all. Journey with us as we explore the profound realm of wisdom, knowledge and under-standing that evolves from the ORIGINAL NATION – divine reality that encompasses some 78 trillion years of ever-present existence and principled accomplishment. Islam, as brought to the Hells of North America by Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, and taught for some 40 years by His Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, is that which gives vision to all who accept their own and join on to their own kind.
We propose to continue to develop a new mind (body of thoughts and ideas) among Black people in America and also throughout the world (earth). We, the Muslims, pray to Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, through His Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, that we are granted success in this and every other righteous endeavor we undertake.
As-Salaam-Alaikum

In the Name of Allah, Who came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, and in the name of His Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. As-Salaam-Alaikum. We who are followers and students in the new Islam will continue to work in the cause of Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, with His last and greatest Messenger, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. As the western white world continues to deteriorate and fall we most certainly agree with Allah and His Messenger Elijah Muhammad that we must accept our own and join on to our own kind to be saved. In this issue of the Original Nation mag-azine (beginning in the center spread) you will find another must-read article by Messenger Elijah Muhammad that is titled ―THE FALL AND BREAK UP OF THE OLD WORLD.” Here the Mes-senger explains the meaning of the Prophet Daniel’s vision of a statue that possessed a head of gold, breast of silver, legs of iron and feet of miry clay. Again, we thank all who participated in the three-day Saviour’s Day week of activities which were once again held in the Richmond, Virginia area. A review of this activity can also be found in this issue. The Muslim farm program of going back to the good earth is gearing up for the Spring of this year; we plan to pro-duce a bigger and better yield as well as secure increased participation in this on-going project. A report on this year’s start-up along with pictures appears in this issue-beginning on pages 16 -17.
As always we ask that our readers send comments on any and all articles that appear in this publication. We will reserve space for letters to the editor to print your comments. Efforts are still being made to reach out on local, state, regional and nation lev-els to re-unite with all the followers of Messenger Elijah Muhammad who de-sire a united Black Nation of Islam. The avenue to achieve this unity and contin-ue with growth and prosperity is the NOIGA (the Nation of Islam General Assembly of Laborers). The annual Summer Conference that is held in Bridgeport, Connecticut is planned for three days beginning on Friday, July 21, and ending on Sunday, July 23rd. Plan to be there and to fur-ther contribute to the growth of our na-tion. As-Salaam-Alaikum.

In the Name of Allah, Who came in the Person of Master Fard Mu-hammad to Whom praise is forever due, and in the name of His Last and Greatest Messenger, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. As-Salaam-Alaikum.
Discipline Necessary In Managing Your Finances
The first important fact one must ac-quire in becoming successful-on this topic–is discipline. The Most Honora-ble Elijah Muhammad teaches that “discipline is a form of training that develops self-control, character, or-derliness and efficiency that builds manners, passion and respect.” When one studies the words of the Messen-ger's definition of discipline and ap-plies or practices the meanings, one will be able to organize a structure which will benefit self and kind.
Make sure that your on-going income is more than your bills, and other nec-essary expenses. Next, it is advised to arrange and log or list these on a cal-endar according to due dates. It is also important to mail your bills (if mailing applies) at least seven days in advance-due to postal service and accounting department operations, to be sure they are paid on time. Paying bills on time will avoid late fees as well as bad credit. Establishing good credit means one is trustworthy; not just in making a loan
with a white devil, but with your own kind. The Messenger teaches his stu-dents/followers not to create any debts if you can not pay them, and pay them on time!
Learn To Apply Extra Payments Toward The Principle Amount
Here is advice for credit card bills which is another form of debt: It is beneficial for you as a customer to pay more than the minimum amount due, if you are able. By paying the minimum amount due and any finance charges one will pay off debt earlier to avoid more finance or interest charg-es.
One can indicate that any monies paid over and above the minimum amount due must be applied to paying down the principle amount of the loan-i.e. apply towards principle.
The Most Honorable Elijah Muham-mad teaches that food, clothing and shelter are our three basic needs. In a safe and secure home budget these basic needs require many necessary expenses which are listed below: 1. Homeowners or renters insurance 2. Life Insurance 3. Automobile: auto insurance, tags,
st ickers, taxes, inspect ion (depending on residency), gas
4. Real Estate Taxes 5. Utility Bills 6. Emergency Repairs-if homeowner
(and other emergencies) 7. Phone Service 8. Poor rate-Charity 9. Food and Clothing 10. Savings-daily, weekly, monthly
The Messenger teaches us and em-phasizes the importance of saving our hard earned income as we spend it on our needs and not on our wants. We all want nice material things, but the question should be- ―Do I really need this? The Messenger has provided for us instructions on savings in one of his textbooks titled ―Message to The Blackman In America‖. The topic, ti-tled ―Economic Program‖ is located on pages 192 thru 205. He teaches us we can save our monies by not eating out frequently at devil establishments as this often leads to doctor and hos-pital bills. We must stop wasting our income on the celebration of any white peoples (devils) holidays, for none of them apply to Black people.
The Messenger also teaches us that we should stop trying to live like mil-lionaires, purchasing expensive auto-mobiles and clothing before a nice home. There is much more, but just remember a tip to learn what our Mes-senger wants us to practice with our income; “save some and spend some, so when you need some you will have some.” Trust self by saving your money at home and paying self an interest you will be able to continue on a regular basis. We can benefit self and kind when applying these ―Tips On Building A Safe and Secure Home Budget‖. As-Salaam-Alaikum!

In the Name of Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, and in the name of His Messenger, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. As-Salaam-Alaikum.
The Actual Facts or Armageddon Board was conceived and designed by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and constructed by Muslim Brothers who were his early followers in the Nation of Islam in Washington, D. C. (the Capital of the United States of America).
Afterwards, those who attended any Muhammad’s Temple of Islam in any area across North America could wit-ness (see) and be taught from this board by Messenger Elijah Muham-mad or any of his Ministers. This prac-tice continued from the early days of Islam up until the 1970’s.
Actual Facts Board Stolen and Hidden
According to an early follower and former Minister of Messenger Muham-mad who served in Richmond, Virginia at Muhammad's Temple of Islam #24, the Original Actual Facts board was constructed by him and other brothers in his back yard at his home residence in Washington, D.C.. Upon its comple-tion the Messenger began to use this board as an effective teaching tool in the Temple. Some visitors who attend-ed the Muslim meetings saw how ef-fective this was so in the absence of the Messenger and other Believers, they secretly had the board removed from the building and hidden in an unknown place. Upon returning to
hold a meeting the Messenger noticed the board missing and mentioned to the brotherhood that he needed the board as it helped him to effectively conduct services. The brothers began a search and recover mission-eventually finding it (the board) hidden and stored in an alley in a garage. The board was returned to its rightful place and remained as an effective teaching tool in all Temples under the Messen-ger’s guidance.
Messenger Muhammad Warns His Followers Of On-Coming Destruction
On Sunday June 18th, 1972 at Mu-hammad’s Temple of Islam #2 in Chi-cago, Illinois during his Theology of Time Series, Messenger Muhammad stated: “...I want you to hear me, because you don’t have next year (1973) and the year after next (1974) to come out and hear this, you bet-ter make up your mind today.”
The Muslims and the general public began to see and experience the dis-mantling of the Nation of Islam, includ-ing the removal of the Actual Facts Board from the Temple, the destruc-tion of the teachings of Islam as well as the destruction of the Temple itself. As-Salaam-Alaikum.

The highest technology and sci-ence component of the human family is the Original Blackman and the Original Blackwoman. In original science the highest de-gree of intelligence is body (physical), mind (mental thought processes) and spirit (the energy generated from the person). The Asiatic Blackman is the Original Man of the planet earth and also God of the Universe. Real technol-ogy teaches us that all colors (people) come from Black.
The Science Of Original Person And Creation
Messenger Elijah Muhammad teaches us, from Allah in the Per-son of Master Fard Muhammad, that the Supreme Being originat-ed Himself, beginning from the first atom of science in the vast darkness of space; this action eventually manifested the original galaxy that continues to grow our universe. Today we measure it as some 18 quintillion miles.
There are approximately 20 billion
nerve cells (called neurons) in the nervous system. There are two types of cells found in the periph-eral nervous system. The periph-eral nervous system consists of afferent or sensory neurons and efferent or motor neurons. The afferent nerve cells (from the Latin-meaning “toward”, and fer-re, meaning “to bring”) carry sen-sory information from the periph-eral to the central nervous sys-tem. They have their cell bodies in ganglia and send a process into the central nervous system. The efferent nerve cells (from the Latin ex, meaning “away from” and ferre, meaning to bring) carry information away from the cen-tral nervous system to the effec-tors (muscles and tissues). They have cell bodies in the central nervous system and send axons into the periphery.
White Blood Cells Aid In Fighting Disease
Your body is a science and tech-nology voltage energy divided by current (R=V/I). Where are white blood cells stored? This is also a science. Most of the white blood cells in the body (is technology) are stored in connective tissues or lymphatic organs. The white blood cells are released in re-sponse to areas of invasion by pathogens or injury.
The White Blood Cell Count Decreases Slightly In The Elderly
The truth as taught by Allah, in the Person of Master Fard Mu-hammad, is that the Black Nation-the Original Man and Woman– the Lost-Found Nation is Mathe-matics and Science. Knowledge of Islam is the first “How To Eat To Live”-in the light of the Most Hon-orable Elijah Muhammad-live for-ever! At birth, a newborn has a higher white blood cell count (9,000 and above). Examples are such as that a man breaths 3 cu-bic feet of air in one hour and thought travels at the rate of speed of 24 billion miles per se-cond. As the child grows this num-ber (Of white blood cells) falls to adult levels (4,500 to 10,000 cells per cubic millimeters of blood) within two weeks of birth. The total white blood cell count de-creases slightly in the elderly.
The sun (position wise) is the cen-ter of the solar system. The Earth is the Original planet in all of the Creation. We have our moon and there are other planets with moons, and there are stars. Body platelets are very small-1,575 X10-3 INCHES (0.004 millimeters) in diameter and 3.9X 10 inches (0.001 millimeters) thick. The Su-preme Wisdom of Allah is taught to us in Islam. The function of platelets include: 1. transport of enzyme and proteins critical to clotting and 2. formation of a platelet plug to slow blood loss; contraction of a clot after it has formed which then reduces the size of the vessel break. The tech-nology component though is in that area of the circuit break. As-Salaam-Alaikum.

The Restricted Laws Of Islam
Are Our Success
The state (condition) of the so-
called Negro in America has
reached crisis proportion, thereby
keeping alive and compelling the
need for a Nation of Islam Law
Conference. The strict rules, laws,
and guidelines which we who are
Messenger Muhammad‟s true fol-
lowers possess, must be obeyed
and carried out-they are beyond a
doubt, our success. Therein lies
the need to confer periodically
(whenever needed) by way of a
law conference with other Mu-
hammad‟s Temples of Islam to
further our continued success.
Proper understanding insures
proper conduct and proper assess-
ment of our daily lives.
When correctly understood and
applied, law may be defined as
“the system of rules established by
organized society (Islam), perfor-
mance of which it enforces or
breach of which it punishes.” It is
the coercive character of its rules
that distinguishes law from cus-
tom. Those in attendance must
have clear minds, capable of ana-
lyzing and organizing any con-
fused set of facts.
The results of a Nation of Islam
Law Conference should bring
about mutual understanding as to
what must be done and the time(s)
in which it must be done. As-
Salaam-Alaikum.

In the Name of Allah, Who Came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, and of His Last and Greatest Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. As-Salaam-Alaikum.
The above title, ―Let Food Be Thy Medicine‖ is by no means a newly coined phrase. It has been said and used over and over, over a long peri-od of time. Its meaning or reference to living without a number of ailments has not been explored by the general populous. Its meaning is also rarely promoted by persons in the medical profession who are the many, treating illnesses of their many patients. So, why is the statement made with cer-tain importance? How is food relevant to our health, good or bad? Why is it stated to let food be your medicine? Can food really serve as our medi-cine? Can it replace the drugs manu-factured and given for illnesses? And, if food can replace prescribed medica-tion offered in the medical circles then why is this not the case?
What We Eat Keeps Us Here, And
What We Eat Takes Us Away
There are many questions to be an-swered. The Honorable Elijah Muham-mad has said many times ―what we eat keeps us here and what we eat takes us away‖. This statement is a direct reference to the importance of eating the proper foods - to sustain life and to promote good health. Foods
also serve as a hindrance to many ailments. It also serves as a cure for a number of ailments that many of our people now suffer. Some of those we hear most often with our people in-clude hypertension, high cholesterol, heart disease and diabetes. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad's statement is one that forces us to look deeper into his teachings on ―how to eat to live,‖ which is also the title of two of his great books (How To Eat To Live, Books 1 and 2). He teaches on a number of foods that we should eat and gives us the proper way they should be prepared as well as the time of day to eat. Food is the fuel that we take in to provide energy to sustain us. It is also the substance we take in that also causes a number of the ail-ments that we suffer. This is primarily due to the types, manner, quantity and quality of the foods-some which we have listed.
Eating To Live Inconveniences The Medical World
The Messenger teaches us that if we eat as he prescribes we can live a long, long life and be in good health. However, if we live a long healthy life with little or no illness then we may inconvenience the medical world and all of its components (doctors, drug manufacturers, medical supply com-panies, hospitals, research centers, and a host of other companies in-volved in the field of medical aid). The truth of the matter is that no one in the
field of medicine will come out to pro-mote a healthy society where they or their companies would be put out of business. Yet the truth remains that food is your medicine when the proper information is brought forth.
Messenger Muhammad further teach-es that our dietary habits must be in accord with what is natural for our well-being. Our bodies are designed to handle a plant-based diet for food for good health and a long life. He teach-es that all the vitamins, minerals and other nutrients we need for good health are found in plants. He teaches that meats are no good for us. The practice and habit of eating meat is detrimental to our well-being. There is much that can be said reference our health and eating habits. The fact of the matter is that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad is right on point when it comes to eating to live. I invite you to look further into his teachings on this subject. Here are some references on this subject of food and its ability to reverse illnesses and cure diseases:

As-Salaam-Alaikum.

The acts and confusion of the
white man and especially
England and America bring
our attention to Daniel's vi-
sion of the world today
(Daniel 2:31-46).
IN THIS vision of Daniel‟s,
the image‟s head is gold,
which represents the standard
metal of worship. And the
placing of this at the head and
not at the feet gives us again
a chance at the meaning and
significance of Daniel‟s vi-
sion.
The head of gold and the
breast of silver represent the
two countries (England and
her sterling, and America and
her gold). England‟s sterling
pound and America‟s eleven
or more billion dollars in
gold made these two coun-
tries the head of the nations
of the earth.
This was because of their
great wealth of money, gold
and silver which they hoped
to use to sway the nations to
bow to their biddings. But the
fall of this great god of gold
and silver and the maneuver-
ing of power to be the instru-
ment that caused the fall of
the great statue of gold and
silver (the world standard or
media of exchange held by
England and America) came
from Divine power and not
from the nations‟ power.
THE SMALL NATIONS of
Europe united after the ster-
ling had fallen off the market
to a weak point (about a
third of the power and less
than they previously exer-
cised over the nations of the
near and far East).
When America was holding
the bulk of the gold, she rep-
resented the head. But the
smaller nations, with France
in the lead, captured the head
of gold which is the most im-
portant part of the image or
statue that Daniel saw.
Nobody can travel or move
without the head. When we
lose the head we lose the
body of silver and miry iron
and clay, (referring to Dan-
iel‟s vision).
The legs and feet of iron and
clay represent the statue as
being partly strong and partly
weak. The weakness is in the
legs and the feet when the
legs and feet should be the
strongest part of the body to
support the head and body.
THIS STATUE began with
the base (legs and feet) which
represents how the gold and
silver were built up. England
and America got the head of
gold and breast of silver from
weak nations, who were part-
ly strong and partly weak: as
James (in the Bible) 5:1 gives
it very clearly.
This is the real fall of the two
powerful kingdoms (the rob-
bery of the poor), as it says in
James‟ prophecy of gold be-
THE FALL AND
BREAK UP OF THE
OLD WORLD
By The Honorable Elijah Muhammad Messenger of Allah
11
ing able to stand in the days
of battle and war, to bribe na-
tions; to support and stand
against justice for the poor,
who had been the instrument
of labor to build and keep
strong the image of gold and
silver.
The American Black people
who were brought into the
country for the sole purpose
of their labor to be used for
the opening up of the new
country called America, are
no more needed for labor
purposes.
They are not even needed for
any war purposes, because
the modern agriculture labor
is in machines, and the con-
quering of nations today is in
scientifically-prepared arms
of war that made the Black
man (once-slave of America)
to lie around in trenches and
bushes to help his master kill
master‟s enemies.
ONE BOMBING plane could
do more than a million
ground soldiers in the way of
fighting an enemy. But, injus-
tice given the once-slave is
such that it is not matched by
any past slave-master in the
history of slavery.
Even in the fall of ancient
Babylon, ancient Egypt, none
of these slave-holding ancient
governments and states
equaled the present evil of
the modern masters of Ameri-
ca against the Black once-
slave.
Even while the once Black
slave flies to the help of his
master at their beck and call
to fight to destroy his ene-
mies, the master is today, in
America, armed to the teeth.
The government allows the
white murderer of the Black
American (the rapers) to
come through the Black
man‟s neighborhood night
and day and destroy his mor-
als and his life.
At this very hour, eternal war
against the Black man is
planned as the Psalmist
(Bible) prophesies that they
12
plan to destroy the poor se-
cretly.
ALL KINDS of evils are
planned against the once loy-
al slave of America today: in
the drugs, in food and the wa-
ter that the slave eats and
drinks, to destroy his increase
of his nation-making his
woman unproductive, and
turning her into the most dis-
graceful woman of the na-
tions with his indecent styles
of dress.
He is doing nothing to show
justice to his slaves even to
leave him. He does not want
any separation. He wants his
slave to remain as a prey and
continues to destroy him. He
now fights a war against
God‟s intention to redeem
and deliver us (the Black
once-slaves of America).
Allah (God) is wise. He puts
strength into the weak (iron
mixed with miry clay) to has-
ten the fall of the head of
gold and breast of sliver by
letting America spend all of
her gold (according to the ra-
dio, newspapers, and other
announcements) down to a
billion dollars, and some say
America does not own that
much out of eleven billion
dollars of gold bars in the
Kentucky hills.
HER NATIONAL debt, her
daily expenses to finance war
all over the earth-wherever it
may start, is terrific.
The likeness has never been
seen in the past-taking her
gold head away and Eng-
land‟s breast of sterling silver
away from the statue.
Therefore, the stone (England
and America‟s Black slave)
that the builders rejected is at
the feet of this mighty statue
of gold and silver-being not
gold and silver themselves,
but rather iron that is much
stronger than gold and silver,
though they mire down in
earth of miry clay. Yet, in it,
there is strength to build the
foundation for a strong na-
tion.
So it is the prophecy through-
out the Bible and the Holy
Qur-an, that which they
thought was too weak is be-
ing strengthened for us and
supported by the Divine Will
and Power.
NO METAL is stronger than
iron. No nation is stronger
than its poor people who sup-
port it. Without labor you
have no government; the poor
are the labor. England and
America have lost their god
of gold and silver and the
kingdom is falling and break-
ing up.
THEY ARE losing their labor
(the Black slave); he is crying
out for justice, and according
to James‟ (in the Bible)
prophecy 5:4 this gold by
right of justice was due to the
poor slave who labored down
the fields of America and
England.
But it was spent and given
away to curse the lives
against the day of battle and
war to keep the poor, poor
without being justified for
their labor and life given to
England, and America for the
past 400 years.
So the God of justice is at
work to see that the poor get
the justice due them. So pow-
erful worship of these two
nations, (England and Ameri-
ca) of gold and silver in
abundance over smaller na-
tions is falling and breaking
up while the weak are in-
creasing in durable strength
like iron.

In the Name of Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, and in the name of His Messenger, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. As-Salaam-Alaikum.
“Surely prayer keeps (one) away from indecency and evil; and cer-tainly the remembrance of Allah is
the greatest (force) and Allah knows what you do.”
-Holy Qur-an 29:45
Prayer, one of the Principles of Belief In Islam, represents communion with Allah and is obligatory. It connects us (Lost-Found Nation of Islam) to Him. We turn to Allah acknowledging that He is the Creator Who guides through prayer. What is prayer? Prayer is the act of offering respect-especially to God (Allah), communicating with Him and recognizing His presence.
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad has devoted a chapter on Prayer Service and it can be found in Message To The Blackman in (North) America (pages 135-160). He teaches us that Allah is oft-forgiving and merciful therefore we should thank Him contin-uously.
Allah Is Worthy Of Our Love and Obedience
There are so many benefits of prayer. It enlightens and raises the highest aspirations meaning you have an ear-nest desire to seek Divine guidance. Allah is worthy of our love and obedi-ence. We (Black People) are His cho-sen and should want to please Him. Why should and do we pray? Since being stripped of the knowledge of self
by the white race we have been put on a journey that fulfills Divine pur-pose to bring us back to our original self. We are dependent on Allah to guide us and we thank Him through prayers given to us by the Messenger.
Muslim Prayer Service begins with cleansing all exposed parts of the body. We prepare ourselves to come before Allah with clean body and mind. This shows respect. We turn east toward the Holy City of Mecca- ―the only Holy place on the Earth‖ says the Honorable Elijah Muhammad (Message To The Blackman, page 48). With heads bowed and hands outstretched that have been cleansed of any evil that they may have brought forth, we show obeisance to Allah, humbly submitting to Him with repent-ant hearts. The ears have also been cleansed from any evil heard and eyes shut from seeing evil.
“Observe prayers in the early morn-ing, at the close of the day, and at the approach of the night. Prayers are good deeds which drive away
the evil doing”
-Holy Qur-an 11:114
We are surrounded by evil everyday so it is necessary to keep up prayer. Muslims pray five times a day with the addition of two more prayers if awak-
ened during the night. Allah wants to make us whole again. Our prayers are devoted to Him and He blesses us by purifying our hearts. Our prayers are also designed for us (Lost-Found). We have turned to the devil (white people) long enough. Our time is now to learn of and pray to our God (Allah). To Him alone do we pray. Do not follow the religion of white people (Christianity). It is for them and it will keep you blind, deaf and dumb, praying to a dead Prophet (Jesus) who cannot hear you.
“It is so essential that you follow the Messenger because if you do as I say, you become a different person.” (The Divine Sayings of The Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Volume II, page 19)
We Must Not Forget To Pray For Our Messenger
We must not forget to pray for our Messenger whose guidance raises us from our dead condition. The chapter entitled ―A PRAYER FOR THE MES-SENGER‖ is found in Message To The Blackman, pages 157-159.
O Nation of Black People in North America, come join this journey with us who follow the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Learn the best of prayers. We are Allah’s chosen and Islam is our religion. As-Salaam-Alaikum.

As-Salaam-Alaikum.
We pray everyone who participat-
ed in our Saviour‟s Day activities
had an informative and entertain-
ing experience. On Sunday Febru-
ary 24th, 2013, there was a believ-
ers‟ reception at the Homewood
Suites by Hilton-Richmond Air-
port, 5996 Audubon Drive, Sand-
ston, Virginia (near the Richmond
International Airport) where we
held all of the Saviour‟s Day ac-
tivities. After eating foods from
the Muslim cooked buffet, the
weary travelers retired for the
night to get ready for the next
days‟ activities.
Educational and Informative
Classes Held In The Early
Morning Before Saviour’s Day
Believers‟ activities began Mon-
day, February 25th at 8:30 a.m.
until 11:00 a.m. The F.O.I. class
taught self-defense and prayer,
utilizing law and investigative pro-
cedures in Islam. Other classes
included physical drill and a lec-
ture on race-mixing and tricknolo-
gy of the enemy. The M.G.T.-
G.C.C. class offered the correct
way of cooking navy bean soup,
and the science behind this small
bean and the three color variety.
Sisters also sampled the finished
creamed bean soup after class, an-
ticipating whole bean and creamed
bean soup at the evening banquet.
In Sewing class there was teaching
on the importance of accurate
measuring of self, patterns, types
of fabric that may be used for dif-
ferent garments prescribed by the
Messenger; also there was teach-
ing on the need to have your no-
tions organized as well as to check
your machine to ensure it is work-
ing properly, if you have not used
it for a while. All Sisters in at-
tendance received head-piece pat-
terns.

showing great interest. This activi-
ty concluded the morning sessions
thus everyone, except Laborers,
retired to get ready for the evening
banquet, and to catch up on rest if
they arrived during the “wee”
hours.
The various laborers‟ meetings
dealt with planned security and
policy (The NOIGA-The Nation
Of Islam General Assembly). Af-
ter handling all the work and ne-
cessities to have a smooth Sav-
iour‟s Day, time was taken to get
changed and relaxed for the up-

We Must Produce Our Own People’s Needs
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches us “ we must get together to produce our own people’s needs”. One thing we truly need to maintain our lives is good, whole-
some, nutritious and lawful food that we can grow from our own good earth. With this agreed upon fact, members of the Nation of Islam under the teachings of Messenger Elijah Muhammad once again have en-gaged in the farming and agriculture process.
Believers Prepare For A Great Summer and Fall Harvest
Believers in the States of Connecticut, New York and Virginia have begun spring planting of a variety of vegeta-bles and are sprucing up fruit trees in anticipation of a great summer and fall harvest.
Our farming and gardening efforts of 2012 survived the hottest (and in many areas), driest summer on rec-ord, yet Allah blessed us with wonder-ful produce. The hard and consistent work of the believers paid off with a good harvest. Both, the Brothers (F.O.I.) and the Sisters (M.G.T.) have worked and will continue to work to make this agricultural program a suc-cess. In 2013 as we lay the ground work for an even slightly expanded operation
we are learning additional farming techniques as well as a variety of ways to prepare (cook) and preserve the farm produce.

Believers Engage In The “Raised Bed” Process
We are still learning more and more about various farming processes. Some plants are purchased from commercial ―hot houses‖ and then transplanted into the earth. When us-ing seeds we choose the right time of year and weather conditions to plant them in the ground after we have tilled and otherwise cultivated the soil for
excellent crop production. Some be-lievers have chosen to use the ―raised bed‖ process when growing vegetable plants. The spring planting season in the eastern portion of the United States begins early in the deep south. By late March and mid April the ground is
usually prepared for planting in the lower mid-Atlantic states. As one moves further North the planting sea-son usually starts soon after the frost breaks in late April or early May.
Farming Taken To The Next Level
While the crops are growing many of the believers are learning improved methods of enriching the soil to get even better produce. The best meth-ods of cooking and preserving foods is also being studied and implement-ed. The next level of development is advanced methods of packaging and distribution. All praises are due to Al-lah, Master Fard Muhammad, for the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. As-Salaam-Alaikum.

“...In The Days Of Famine They Shall Be
Satisfied.” In the Name of Allah, the Benefi-cent, the Merci-
ful. All praise is due to Allah for giving us a Mes-senger in the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. As-Salaam-Alaikum.
On Saturday, May 18, 2013, the M.G.T. & G.C.C. of Muhammad’s Temple of Islam #41 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with the assistance of Bro. Minister Kenneth Muhammad descended on the earth to grow some crops for ourselves.
The Messenger teaches us that we must do for self, and have some land to call our own. The M.G.T. and Jr. M.G.T. got to work, putting the Mes-senger’s teachings and program into practice. We began by turning and mixing the soil to properly prepare it for many crops.
We planted eggplant, string beans, butter lettuce, yellow and butternut squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, both red and green peppers, okra, sweet basil, sweet peppers, parsley, orega-no, and rosemary. This effort ena-bled us to once again get a feel for working the land.
With Allah’s blessing we will get a taste of the fruits of our labor. Allah is ever seer of all things as addressed in the Bible, Psalm 37:18&19 which reads: “The Lord knoweth the days of the upright; and their inher-itance shall be forever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.” As-Salaam-Alaikum.

In the Name of Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, and His Messenger The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. As-Salaam-Alaikum. “Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren (and the sisterhood) to
dwell in unity,” Psalm 133:1
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad, throughout all his teachings and writ-ings, has been and is the greatest teacher of unity among his followers and all Black people in America and the world. He made it extremely im-portant for Black men and women here in America to work hard for unity amongst themselves. In his dynamic book, MESSAGE TO THE BLACK-MAN IN AMERICA, on page 220, he writes: ―The unity of 22 million so-called Negroes up from slavery is the answer to our salvation…” He adds: ―what more do we need but unity of the whole for the whole?...Love and unity of self and kind is the key to our salvation.”
Other Ethnic Groups and Races Have Strong Unity Among Themselves
It is our lack of true unity that keeps our people divided and prevents us, even in 2013, from making any real progress to save our people, who remain deaf, dumb, and blind to the knowledge of self. Messenger Mu-hammad says we allow petty differ-ences to keep us divided. If we look carefully around us, we can see all the other ethnic groups and races who have strong unity among them-
selves. We see the Koreans, Arabs, Russians, Asians, Spanish, Germans, Irish, Italians – all displaying unity among themselves. Why such unity amongst these groups despite their differences, outlooks and opin-ions? Each of these groups have uni-ty because they all have something in common that naturally unites them: language, ethnicity, culture, heritage, skin color, homeland, etc. When I was in elementary school I had difficulty doing math. I didn’t hate math. I just found math hard to do. In fact I avoided having to do math. I remembered what to do when it came to fractions. In the science of frac-tions, all parts are not together, they are fractionalized. In order to solve a problem in fractions or arrive at a sum in fractions, one must find the least common denominator. When the least common denominator is found, you solve the problem or you find the sum in fractions and all parts come togeth-er.
We Must Unite To Overcome Our Common Enemy
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches that Black people here in America are divided and he calls us to unite. We are 40 million or more Black people here in America with so much potential for greatness. Although we are from different political, economic and religious backgrounds we all have a particular thing in common. We are all Black, descendants of slaves, with a common enemy — the Whiteman, who has deceived us and continues
to deceive us into thinking that we are free.
Messenger Muhammad Teaches That The Solution To Our Problems Is Divine
Messenger Muhammad says that our problem of disunity is a divine prob-lem that needs a divine solution from GOD in Person. He points to the Book of Ezekiel 37:1 which clearly shows the current condition of Black people in America. The Prophet Ezekiel was set down in a valley of dry bones; the-se bones were scattered, and dry. Mr. Muhammad stated that these bones are a perfect picture of us (Black peo-ple) here in this country; the bones represent or are a symbol of Black people who are without substance-no life. Bones are remains of a human or animal that once lived but is now dead. The dryness of the bones rep-resent Black people without water (spiritual life) and the divided bones represent the disunity of people. The bones described in the Book of Ezekiel were so dry and scattered that GOD commanded the Son of Man to prophesy unto the bones and blow four winds upon the bones. This Mes-senger Muhammad tells us is the coming of Allah God and teaching Black people truth, which caused us (the bones) to begin seeking unity. It is unity that will allow us as a people to overcome all obstacles placed in our path. With divine unity, and truth, we can build an economic, social, cultural, educational Institution that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches us that we as a people can do with the help of Allah. Messenger Muhammad teaches that our unity is more powerful than an atomic bomb. We can’t just teach or preach unity; we must be unity in ac-tion. And our unity must be as a solid

wall where none can divide us; be-cause a chain is as strong as its weak-est link. We the followers of the Honorable Eli-jah Muhammad must be the greatest and truest examples of unity. We must, in truth, embrace our people.
We as Muslims must start with our-selves to produce the fruitful rewards of unity. This will show our people what real unity can produce. Let us build that strong united Black front. But let us do it in the name of Allah, Who came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, and His Apostle, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
