On my mind . . .

Memorial Day 2018 has come and gone but any day, any season is good to remember loved ones who have

passed to the Lord. I have assembled below a list of all the church members who, since I started my pastorate

here in September 2000, have died, as well as relatives/friends and community people for whom I have had the

honor of officiating last services,. Some people you will know well; others, perhaps not.

I invite you to take a quiet, unhurried moment to read these names thoughtfully and give thanks to God for the

life of each of these special people. Let God lead your thoughts, reflections, pauses, and memories. Perhaps

others dear to you will also come to your mind.

Let us give thanks for the dear people whom God has woven into the fabric of our lives and of our church. We

are here, not only for the Lord, but also for each other. Just like these beloved named here, you too are a bless-

ing in someone else's life. You matter!

See you on Sunday!

SUMMER VISITATION PLANNED

You are invited to participate in a summer

experience that will be so beneficial to you

and to others! Join us on Tuesday, July 17th,

when the Outreach Team visits church family

shut-ins. Everyone who has ever been involved

with the visitations, has been happy they did.

The group meets at the church at 10:00 AM

and visits with partners to just one shut-in.

Following the visits we all

have lunch together

to share our particular visit.

If you have any questions,

please see Joanne Pileski.

First English Baptist Church Members,

Thank you so much for all the prayers and love that

you’ve given me the past few weeks! I truly appreciate it!

The prayer blanket was so comforting to have both in

the hospital and at home. It was also comforting to

know that so many people were praying for me during

this time. The surgery went well and recovery

has been going really well so far too.

Thanks again, Megan deGruchy

During a time like this we realize how much

our friends and relatives really mean to us…

Your expression of sympathy

will always be remembered.

The family of Larue W. Penman - Betty

Prayer Breakfast Fellowship:

Thank you for all of your prayers, and for the prayer

blanket. Every time I use it I feel wrapped in prayers

and love. My Bob will be going to Geisinger on May 1st

for a heart cauterization to find out what is going on with

his heart. We will be glad to find out what is going on.

We have been blessed with everyone’s prayers.

Thank you again, Bob and Elaine Black

(Carey’s Uncle and Aunt.) Update: Uncle Bob had open

heart surgery recently due to blockages. Please continue

to keep them in your prayers for healing and strength.

Thank you blanket makers for allowing me to share

blankets with them. Love, Carey

The Prayer Group:

For your continued prayers

I thank you so much.

- Danny Stoneham’s Mother

(Update: Carey’s brother, Danny is improving slowly.

With each day we see healing of mind, spirit and body.

Thank you all so much for your continued prayers for my

brother and my parents, they are really working.)

Love, Carey

Hi from sunny Florida…

Wanted to let you know that I have

a new address. Moved on April 4th

to an Independent Living facility.

Have my own 2 bedroom

-2 bath apartment.

I was lonely and thought this would

give me people contact and the

family would know that some one

was checking up on me. It’s very

nice and I know many of the

residents here. So far, so good.

My daughter, Lisa, has been with

me since I got ill and was admitted

to the hospital with pneumonia

on moving day. Couldn’t get

along without my family.

Getting stronger each day.

Here is a picture of Shirley Clapp

celebrating her 95th birthday… she loved

all the birthday cards and visits and

thanks everyone at FEBC for their love.

It meant so much to her! - Emily

Thank you.

It’s a mystery! If anyone has borrowed

the 6 foot wooden dowel from the

church office, we would appreciate it’s

return. It is needed to change messages

on the outside sign. Thank you.
