Feed In TariffHow it Works

- Payment by a utility to a “FIT Generator”- “FIT Generator”: owner of generating assets- Payment is for 25 years, index linked- Eligible Tariff: Tariff in force when valid application for FIT registration is made- Application can be made once an installation is operational

Example- Church roof with about sq m suitable roof space- Installation: 9.8 kWp: 40x245kWp panels- Insolation say 800 kWh/kWp/year- 7840 kWh generated per year- FIT Generation Income: 7840 x 37.8p=£2963/year plus inflation for 25 years- FIT Export Income: if 50% exported:3920 x 0.031p=£121/yearTotal FIT Income=£3084- Plus electricity savingsay 3920 x 14p=£549Total benefit per year: £3633
