40 DAYS FOR LIFE
I wanted to share with you some information about 40 days for Life on Staten Island. As a Parish we will be participating. From February 26th through April 5th, you are invited to join many Christians on Staten Island for our first 40 Days for Life Campaign—40 days of prayer and fasting to help protect women in our community from abortion. We will peacefully pray and witness to those in despair that there are alternatives and many people willing to help on Staten Island. During the 40-day vigil in the public right-of-way outside Staten Island University Hospital North on Seaview Avenue in South Beach, we will help our own sisters, friends, and daughters to choose life and love for themselves and their babies and also offer hope and healing to those who have experienced the deep pain of abortion. I’m here to give you good news: Pro-life pregnancy centers outnumber abortion facilities by at least three to one around the country. The majority of Americans reject abortion and want alternatives. Abortion facilities are closing and lives are being saved by the thousands across the nation (and world) through the 40 Days for Life campaign. WE NEED YOU for MIRACLES to happen on Staten Island! Abortion facilities are closing, abortionists and workers are quitting, hearts are being changed & babies’ lives are be-ing saved through the 40 days for Life Campaign. Sign up for one hour with your parish. We will be outside of the SIUH North hospital for 12 hours each day from 7am to 7pm for 40 Days, fasting and witnessing to the good news that alternatives exist and we can help. OUR PARISH HAS THE SATURDAY 1pm TO 7pm SLOT FOR 5 SATURDAYS There is an email sign-up sheet in the back of the church. Or call/text Ginny at 646 267 6456. At least two persons will be at each hour. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray… then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” Chronicles 7:14
PLEASE PRAY FOR THE
PEOPLE OF OUR PARISH
Please let the rectory know if

Lower
Church
Please join us for a Special Mass on
Sunday February 16th at 12pm
for the dedication and the installation of
the statue of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini.
St. Francis Xavier Cabrini also called
Mother Cabrini, was an Italian-
American religious sister, who founded
the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred
Heart of Jesus, a Catholic religious
institute that was a major support to the
Italian immigrants to the United States.
PROJECT HOSPITALITY
We are looking for Volunteers
Did you know that our Parish Community has
been serving lunch monthly at the
Central Ave Shelter for Project Hospitality?
We have our two large outreach events
(Thanksgiving and Easter) and our Parish is
amazingly generous with both their time and
donations.
Would you like to get involved more often?
If so, please contact the rectory.
We serve the last Saturday of every month and
are always looking for donations of
people to serve or donate cooked food, snacks,
drinks, etc.
We are Blessed to have a wonderful group of
Parishioners that help out every month.
Thank you for your support!
In preparation for
Ash Wednesday,
kindly bring in your
past blessed palms for
proper disposal.
Please place them in the
large basket in the main lobby.

ed in an ancient custom of enlisting

spiritual needs. King Alfred the
Great collected money a “pence”
