Fighting Students In IndonesiaFights, or often called the brawl, common among students. Not even a "just" among high school students, but also hit up the campuses. Some say that fighting is normal in adolescents. In big cities such as Jakarta, Surabaya, and Medan, conflict is often the case. Data in Jakarta, for example (Bimmas Metro Jaya Police), in 1992, recorded 157 cases of student fights. In 1994 increased to 183 cases with killing 10 students, in 1995 there were 194 cases with 13 dead students and 2 members of other communities. 1998 there were 230 cases that killed 15 students and two members of the Police, and the next year rose to 37 victims dead. Visible from year to year the number of fights and casualties are likely to increase. They are often recorded in a single day there are up to three fights in three places at once.

Impact Of Students Brawl

It is clear that this student fights hurt many parties. There are at least four categories of negative effects of student fights.

First, the students (and their families) who got into a fight themselves clearly negatively impacted first when injured or even killed.

Second, damage to public facilities such as buses, bus stops and other amenities, as well as private facilities such as glass shops and vehicles.

Third, disruption of the learning process in schools. Finally, perhaps the most feared of educators,

student award was reduced to tolerance, peace and values of other people's lives. The students learn that violence is the most effective way to solve their problems, and therefore choose to do anything in order to achieve the goal. This last result clearly has long-term consequences on the survival of a society in Indonesia.

General Views Of Cause Fighting Students

Often alleged, a student from vocational school fight, come from families with a weak economy. Data in Jakarta does not support this. Of 275 school fights, 77 of which are public high schools. So also from the economic level, which indicates there are some students who often fights come from economically privileged families. Allegations are also often addressed to a school that is less giving religious education and moral values. So are the families said to be less harmonious and often not at home.

Though the causes of student fights are not that simple. Especially in large cities, the problem is so complex, including factors sociological, cultural, psychological, as well as education policy in a broad sense (eg solid curriculum), as well as other public policies such as public transport and urban planning.

General Views Of Cause Fighting Students Psychologically, a brawl involving

teenage student classified as a form of juvenile delinquency. Juvenile delinquency, in the case of a fight, can be classified into two types, namely situational and systematic delinquency.

In situational delinquency, fights happen because of a situation that "require" them to fight. The requirement that usually arise from the need to solve the problem quickly.

While the systematic delinquency, the teens involved in the fight was to be in a particular organization or gang. Here there are no rules, norms and practices that should be followed by its members, including the fight.

As members, they are proud of that can do what is expected by the group.

Review Of Psychological Causes Of Youth Students Getting Into Fights

In view of psychology, every behavior is a tendency in the interaction between the individual (often called personality, though not always right) and external conditions. Similarly, in terms of student fights. When translated, there are at least 4 psychological factors why a young student getting into fights.

1. Internal factors.

2. Family factors.

3. School factors.

4. Environmental factors.

Page 7: The fighting of students in indonesia (speaking)

1. Internal factors. Teens involved in fights are usually less able to

adapt to complex environmental situation. Complex here means a diversity of views, cultures, economic levels, and all stimuli from the environment, more and more diverse and numerous. This situation usually causes pressure on everyone. But the teenagers who get into a fight, they are less able to cope with, let alone take advantage of the situation to develop oneself. They are usually easy to despair, a quick escape from the problem, blame someone / other party on any issue, and chose to use the simplest way to solve the problem. In adolescents who are fighting, it was found that they experience inner conflict, easily frustrated, are emotionally unstable, insensitive to the feelings of others, and have a strong sense of inferiority. They are usually in desperate need of recognition.

2. Family factors. Households the violence (either between

the parents or the child) clearly have an impact on children. Children, when rising teen, learning that violence is a part of him, so that is a natural thing that he does violence anyway. Instead, parents are too protective of her, as a teenager to grow as an individual who is not independent and does not dare to develop a unique identity. So join with his friends, he would hand over the destiny of the group total as part of the construction of identity.

3. School factors. Schools not primarily seen as an institution that

should be something to educate their students. But schools must first be judged by the quality of teaching. Therefore, the school environment does not stimulate students to learn (eg monotonous classroom atmosphere, which is not relevant to the regulation of teaching, lack of lab facilities, etc..) Will cause the students prefer to engage in activities outside the school with her friends. Only after that the problem of education, where teachers clearly play the most important role. Unfortunately teachers act more as the Punisher and implementing regulations, as well as an authoritarian figure who actually use the violence (although in a different form) in "educating" students.

4. Environmental factors. Environment between home and school

everyday nature teenagers, also have an impact on the emergence of a fight. For example, the houses were cramped and shabby, and ward members who behave badly (eg drugs). Similarly, public transport is often put the students at last. Also the city (get state) violent. Everything that can stimulate young people to learn something from the environment, and later evolved to support the emotional reaction to the emergence of fighting behavior.
