THE FIRST EASTER AMEN
Fully God, Fully Man. The fullness of the promise at hand.
How marvelous, how merciful, the Maker’s reconciling plan, the beginning of Easter, Amen
Fully God, Fully Man. Anointed by a woman’s hands. Poured costly perfume, a beautiful stand. Extravagant Worship, Amen.
Fully God, Fully Man. Knew He would be betrayed and yet he would stand. He prepared the table, broke the bread with his
hands. His blood the new covenant, Amen.
Fully God, Fully Man. Cried out in the garden, “take this cup from my hands, Yet not what I will, but my Father’s perfect plan.”
The prayer in the garden, Amen
Fully God, Fully Man. Arrested and beaten by soldiers calloused hands. Spit at and mocked, His flesh torn up like the land. His
blood on the ground, Amen.
Fully God, Fully Man. Brought before Council, denied by His Friends. Violently accused and sentenced to die.
The Great I AM, Amen.
Fully God, Fully Man. Delivered to Pilate for one last stand, but the crowd cried all the more” CRUCIFY HIM”.
King of the Jews, Amen
Fully God, Fully Man. Led and beaten by soldiers, was mocked again. Crowned with thorns, a bloody refrain
for this King of Pain, Amen
Fully God, Fully Man. Brought up to the hill where three crosses stand. Hung up left to die the son of man cried,
“It is finished!” Amen
Fully God, Fully Man. Stripped and beaten at humanities hands. He let out his last breath, darkness was across the land,
and the veil was torn, Amen
Fully Man, Fully God. His body entombed and covered with a rock. In linen wrapped tight, it seemed he was forgot,
on the First Easter, Amen.
Fully Man, Fully God. All was quiet for two days, all had been lost. But in the morning on the third, oh great news, have you
heard? The First Easter, Amen!
Fully Man, Fully God. Was not where he lay, the body was gone. Death now defeated – the battle is won, on our first Easter, Amen.
Fully Man, Fully God. Hallelujah He is alive, we are filled with new song.
To tell the whole world what our King has done – This is Easter, AMEN!

D G DAmazing Grace, how sweet the sound, A7that saved a wretch like me. D G DI once was lost, but now am found, Bm A7 Dwas blind, but now I see.
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed!
The Lord hath promised good to me,His word my hope secures; He will my shield and portion be As long as life endures.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years,Bright shining as the sun,We’ve no less days to sing God’s praiseThan when we first begun.
