Promoting the development of electric power industry through participating
in the improvement of the structure of the unified power system of
Kazakhstan. Support of the implementation of the state policy in the field of
public-private partnership.
Our mission
over the past 10 years implemented:
Concession project about the construction and operation of interregional power transmission line OHL 500 kV “Northern
Kazakhstan – Aktyubinsk region” ($188 million);
Investment project about the construction and operation of two single-circuit power transmission lines OHL 220 kV from
Ulke substation to the MSDS-2 of Kazchrome AFAP ($20 million).
“Batys transit” JSC was registered in the Department of justice of Almaty city Ministry of justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan on
22nd of November, 2005. Shareholders:
“KEGOC” JSC – 20%;
“Mekhenergostroy” Ltd – 80%.

About the concession project
On 28th of December, 2005 the Government of the
Republic of Kazakhstan and “Batys transit” JSC
concluded the Concession agreement about the
construction and operation of interregional power
transmission line with the voltage of 500 kV
“Northern Kazakhstan – Aktyubinsk region”.
The Construction was ended in December of 2008;
The length of the power transmission line – 487 km;
The duration of operation according to the concession is from 2009 to 2022 years;
The total amount spent on the construction – USD 188 million;
Financing - infrastructure obligations and loan from Eurasian Development Bank;
The project pays off at the expense of a tariff for services in transfer of the electric power.

About investment project
In February, 2012 “Batys transit” JSC and
“TNC Kazchrome” JSC (ERG) signed a
cooperation agreement on the construction
of two single-circuit 220 kV high-voltage power
transmission lines for the external power supply of
the smelter shop No.4 of Aktyubinsk Ferroalloy
Plant of “TNC Kazchrome” JSC branch.
The volume of the transferred electric power from
this consumer will allow to lower a tariff of the
company for services in transfer of the electric
power. The construction of two high voltage lines of 220 kW was ended in May, 2013;
The length of the power transmission lines – 37 km each;
The capacity – 280 mV;
The total amount of the construction - $ 20 million;
The project pays off at the expense of a tariff for services in transfer of the electric power.

Over a period from 2011 to 2015, Aktobe region increased the electric power consumption by 23%.
Thus, in 2015, the energy deficiency of the Aktobe region increased by 2% as compared to the previous year and amounted to 36% (1,693,357 thous. kW) of the total energy consumption in the region.
Over a period from 2011 to 2015, there was a significant increase in a share of local content of electric power transmitted through OHL 500 kV of Batys Transit JSC for coverage of the energy deficiency in Aktobe region.
Thus, in 2015, a share of the Russian electric power reduced to 4%, while in 2011 and 2012 it was equal to 30% and 20%, respectively.
During the reporting period, a share of electric power supply to Aktobe region through OHL 500 kV of Batys Transit JSC increased from 21% in 2011 to 34% in 2015.
Analysis of the electric power market of Aktobe region
At the end of 2015, net profit of Batys Transit JSC amounted to 611,793 thous. tenge.
In 2015, the volume of electric power transit increased by 16% as compared to the previous year and amounted to 1,620,790 thous. kW.
The line loading reached 54% of its capacity.
The main service consumers of Batys Transit JSC were the following:
Aktobe Ferrous Alloys Plant of Kazchrome TNC JSC with a share of 63%; Don Melting and Processing Plant of Kazchrome TNC JSC – 18%; Aktobeenergosnad LLP – 16%.
