* have scored at least 55% (50% for SC/ST) marks in Class VII promotion examination (in the lastacademic session 2009 –2010)

* be studying in Government aided/Local body school only. However those studying in KendriyaVidyalayas/Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are not entitled for scholarship under NMMS Scheme.Similarly those studying in Residential schools run by State Govt. Institutions, where facilitiessuch as boarding, lodging and free education are provided are not eligible for scholarship underNMMS Scheme.

* Parental annual income from all sources should not exceed Rs. 1,50,000/- (Rupees one lakh, fiftythousand only).
