The green building council has held a
course entitled “passive design for hot
climates” This class aims to give an
introduction of the theoretical and
operational principles underlying
Passive Design of Buildings. By a series
of (oral and self-study) lectures , the
class introduces the concepts,
assumptions and limitations which
underlie the methods currently used
to appraise the bio climatic design of
buildings. The subjects are developed
from basic principles of building energy
efficiency in relation to the climate.
