All parents are reminded that parent/ teacher conferences are today from 3:30-8:30 pm. If you have not scheduled an appointment, some teachers may be able to fit you in their schedule if they have an opening.

Msgr. Funk, pastor of St. Pius X parish, is leading a Catholic Culinary and Cultural Journey to the California Missions and Wine Country, June 11-18, 2018 in celebration of his 2018 retirement. The 7-day, fully escorted trip includes

• Overnight stays in Monterey, Cambria, Sonoma, & the San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf area• Visits to the missions of San Jose, San Carlo Borromeo, San Juan Bautista, San Francisco Solano, San Francisco de Assisi, and the tomb of San Junipero Sera• Two Napa Valley wine tastings and a wine tasting at the Beringer Wines historic Rhine House• A visit to the Hearst Castle in the hills of San Simeon (with accommodations overlooking the Pacific); enjoy stops at Carmel by the Sea, Muir Woods National Monument with the famous Redwood Forest, and Fisher man’s Wharf and National Park.• A cruise along the California coast on the famed “17-Mile Drive”• A “Hop on Hop off ” bus tour of San Francisco.

The trip is limited to 40 guests. Those interested are invited to attend an informational meeting on November 8th from 6:00 to 8:30 at St. Pius.

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is proud to offer the Mechanisms of Human Health and Disease Pro-gram once again in the summer of 2018.

Thursday, November 2nd – The Feast of All Souls Day is also JOIN Collection Day #1. JOIN is the Joint Organization for Inner-City Needs. Please promote this worthy cause. Many items are needed to help the organization help others. Items may be turned in any day during first period. The days listed below are “double point days” for the classroom competition.

November 2 - Deodorant November 6 - Lotion November 8 - Toothbrushes and Toothpaste November 10 - Household cleaning items November 13 - Laundry detergent November 15 - Toilet paper

In addition, umbrellas, cash donations, and other household items are appreciated any time from November 2 through November 15.

The prizes for first period classes collecting the most are
