INTRODUCTION

God has accomplished remarkable things for humankind through the work and words of women. Mary the mother of Jesus stands at the pinnacle of these faithful followers of God, but there were (and continue to be) many others who said ‘yes’ to the call of God and in doing so made God present in the world, in our lives.

This program will use the women of the Bible as our guides to the Holy Land and our sense of God’s presence among us. While we will visit many places in the Holy Land where God was working out God’s plan for humanity and places where God walked upon earth, we will make a special effort to travel to those sites that bring us into contact with the lives of these blessed women.

Our journey will be enhanced by daily visits to Holy places, lectures, presentations, meditations and bible study in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Magdala and Nazareth.

ITINERARY (Sequence of days and activities may be altered)

1st Day Departures from New York for your trans-Atlantic flight.

2nd Day Departure from London Heathrow airport.

Arrive Tel-Aviv airport from USA and UK.

Meet, assist and transfer to Bethlehem. Welcome reception.

Dinner.

Speaker. Overnight in Bethlehem.

3rd Day Breakfast. Meditation.

Morning visits to the Church of Nativity – Milk Grotto – Shepherds

Field. Lunch.

Afternoon drive to Ein Karem (Home of Elizabeth). Visit Church of

Visitation and Church of John the Baptist. Return to Bethlehem.

Dinner.

Speaker / Bible Study. Overnight in Bethlehem.

4th Day Breakfast.

Morning visits to Mt. of Olives – Gethsemane – Mt. Zion.

Lunch. Devotional walk of the Via Dolorosa (Way of the Cross) to

Golgotha and the Holy Tomb (Holy Sepulcher Church).

Shroud Museum (Reflections). Dinner.

Meditation.

Overnight in Jerusalem.

5th Day Breakfast.

Morning visits to St. Anne’s Church (Mother of Mary) – Pool of

Bethesda – Church of Flagellation – Lithostratos. Drive to Bethany (Home of Mary and Martha).

Proceed to River Jordan (Renewal/ Remembrance of Baptism).

Lunch. Drive to Jericho and Dead Sea.

Dinner.

Speaker / Bible Study. Overnight in Jerusalem.

6th Day Breakfast.

Morning drive through Jordan Valley to Lake of Galilee. Around the Lake visits to Tabgha and Capernaum.

Lunch.

Rest of the day is for meditation and reflections in Magdala (Home of Mary Magdalene).

Speaker / Bible Study.

Dinner. Overnight on Lake of Galilee.

7th Day Inspirational early morning boat ride on Lake of Galilee.

Visits to Mt. of Beatitudes – Sephoris (Home of Anna & Yoakim). Lunch and Presentation at ‘Marie De Nazareth’.

Afternoon visit to Church of Annunciation.

Farewell dinner. Reflections.

Overnight on the Lake of Galilee.

8th Day Transfer to airport for departure back home.

REGISTRATION

The program is cross-denominational and is open to women clergy and laywomen from different church congregations. A non-refundable Registration Fee (not included in the program cost) of $350.00 per person is required. Participants accompanying their church pastor/priest can register on the same Form. If registering separately, please indicate the name of your pastor/priest and church. Registration after deadline (indicated below) is an additional $150.00, subject to availability.

PROGRAM INCLUDES

Economy round trip air fares from New York and London as indicated. Airport - hotel - airport transfers on arrivals and departures on Program

designated flights. Accommodation in twin bedded rooms (2 nights in Bethlehem, 2 nights in

Jerusalem and 2 nights on the Lake of Galilee at quality Christian Guest Houses and/or Tourist First Class Hotels).

All daily visits to Holy places and sites indicated in the Program are accompanied by a qualified local Christian guide (Local parish priest and/or consecrated lady).

Three meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) will be served daily. All inland transfers and transportation in private motor-coaches with WI-FI. Entrance Fees to all sites and events. Boat-ride on Lake of Galilee.

Domestic Flights in U.S.A. and U.K. Travel / Health Insurance. Items of personal nature. Tips to hotels, restaurants, guides and drivers. ($70.00 to be paid in advance)

PAYMENT / CANCELLATION TERMS

Program cost should be made in full no later than 90 days prior to arrival. Full amount will be charged if cancellation takes place within 60 days prior to

departure.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Passports must be valid 6 months prior to return date. Names and details of participants should be printed in BLOCK letters in the

Registration Form, as indicated in their valid passport. (Participants may be denied boarding or entry by the authorities due to mistakes in misspellings or inaccurate information).

Payment instructions and wire transfer information for Registration Fees and Program Price, and all other notifications will be forwarded electronically to participants after receiving Registration Form.

Flight details will be provided to participating members no later than 60 days prior to departure.

Flight tickets will be issued and sent electronically to participants within 2 weeks prior to departure.
