dialect- a form of language spoken in a certain region or by a certain group of people.

Authors may use dialect to help the reader understand the character and setting.

Story Structure/Academic Vocabulary

rising action- the part leading up to solving the problem

In The Fox and the Grapes, we read that the fox attempts to reach the grapes but misses. Then he tries again, but they were still out of reach. I think this is the rising action before the fox decides to walk away.
