CONFIRMATION

With the COVID 19 crisis, unfortunate-

ly the Rite of Confirmation had to be

postponed.

As a tentative plan I am looking to hold

the Rite of Confirmation at the end of

October on Reformation Sunday

(October 25th, 2020) during the 830am

service.

Interviews and review of course work

will be scheduled in late September or

early October..

Since we have not been able to meet for

regular sessions, I will plan a day to do

a final review of the material students

have been hopefully working on at

home.

Workbooks should be completed by the

students at this point, however if they

are not, please work hard over these

next few months to complete the les-

sons.

THANK YOU

Thank you to so many of you for the very thoughtful cards, the prayers, the text messages, the gifts and even a meal while I recovered from surgery! We truly appreciate your care and con-cern! Pastor Galen and Family

NEW MEMBER CLASS

ONE MORE CLASS TO GO!! Unfortunately our adult member-ship class had to abruptly stop back in March. At this point, with summer now underway, we will plan to meet again in early Sep-tember. The special Rite of new membership will then take place in September during a Sunday Worship selected by the group!

WORSHIP VIDEOS

What’s going to happen to the wor-ship videos as we are now transi-tioning back to regular worship? Well…. Our hope is to keep them going and posting them to our web-site. Of course, these videos have really

become our “going to church” under these special COVID cir-cumstances. However, it should be said, As regular in person worship in now becoming a reality, these video isn't meant to re-place coming together as a community during one of our services! Nothing beats being together!!!

We will continue to post videos as an outreach tool for folks look-ing to learn about worship life at St. John’s. And we will continue to post them as a ministry tool, for folks who still aren't comforta-ble in coming to worship out of health concerns. Please plan to carve out time EACH WEEK to come to church!! It is so important for us to re-establish community after this COVID crisis! And not only that, it’s how hugely important it is for us to gather around God’s word and be his presence for one another!!

BUILDING ACCESS

During this time of transition, we kindly ask that all those attending worship refrain from utilizing other parts of our church building with exception to the church sanc-tuary and the upstairs office restroom. All other areas are closed! And as it has been, no outside groups are permitted to utilize the building at this time.

SUMMER SCHEDULE

PLEASE NOTE!!! The contemporary worship service will remain at 11:15am throughout the summer months. THERE IS NO TIME CHANGE AS IN PREVIOUS YEARS!! This will allow more time for disinfecting the church after the 830am service!
