Once upon a time, in a magical land filled with yarn, threads and fabric, the organisers of The Spring Knitting & Stitching Shows and The Louise Hamilton Knit and Yarn Group, were hard at work creating an enchanted forest.
This spring they are spreading the magic of knitting by inviting you to take part in their all knitted (or crocheted) enchanted wood competition, which will be displayed at The Spring Knitting & Stitching Shows in London and Edinburgh.
The competition is split into two categories; creatures and homes and there will be prizes for both. Think fairies, elves, hobbits, witches, wizards and pixies or toadstools, tree trunks, logs and burrows! Good luck!
The Rules
• The organisers must be informed about each object entered via this entry form.
• Entries must be full scale models.
• Entries to be posted to with their entry form to:

• Entries must be labelled with the maker’s name, postcode and telephone number. Please attach the label with a safety pin or stitch (on the underside so it’s not visible but we can identify the maker).
• Deadline for finished items to arrive is 23rd February 2017.
• Any number of knitted objects may be entered per person.
• Entries must be ‘stuffed’ so they are free-standing and 3-dimensional.
Scale
Please make the items you are entering full-scale models. The following dimensions are approximate to provide a guideline.
Creatures: Maximum 30cm tall (excluding hats)
Home: Maximum 45cm tall x 30cm wide
Further Information
• The Enchanted Wood will be displayed at The Spring Knitting & Stitching Show, Olympia, London, 2nd – 5th March.
• The Enchanted Wood will also be shown at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh 27th – 30th April.
• We cannot guarantee that we will be able to display each and every item entered into competition but we will do our very best.
• Please feel free to come up with as many different creatures and homes to make our Enchanted Wood as magical as possible.
• Great prizes announced shortly. Judging will take place at Olympia on Wednesday 1st March.
