The Lashings World XI will be back in Bournemouth this summer, when they take on a Macmillan Caring Locally Invitational XI on Friday August 3rd 2018, to raise funds for the local Macmillan unit.

Patient referrals to our local service have tripled in the last ten years. The existing Macmillan Unit was built in 1974 and is now far too small for the number of people under our care. We have been setting aside funds to build a new Unit for many years. We have managed to raise £5m so far, but a new Unit is estimated at £9m.

Our patients receive the best possible care from our dedicated team of professionals and volunteers., but by supporting this event you can help us to provide them with the best possible facilities too.

Known as the Harlem Globetrotters of cricket, some of the greatest names in the sport such as Monty Panesar, Gordon Greenidge, Tino Best, John Emburey and Devon Malcolm will take on an Invitation XI. The event will be supporting The Lashings Foundation, Macmillan Caring Locally and Bournemouth Cricket Club.

Invite your clients, guests or friends and be entertained in the company of some of the legends of the game and help to raise funds for charities. You could even sponsor the whole event and pick your own invitational XI to take on the Lashings World XI!

The day starts at noon with a 3 course lunch in the private marquee, including a fully licensed bar. Entertainment will be provided by the Lashings All Stars team including our guest star, the legendary test match commentator Henry Blofeld. This will be followed by a competitive 20/20 cricket match between Lashings World XI and the Invitational XI.
