The Map and the Territory// Yu-Wen (Mark) Liang

There are three areas of interactive public art that I want to study in order to further my thesis

exploration space : New Media Art, Urban Design, and Environmental Art. I’m interested to learn

more about installations that embrace the nature of the environments and bring in the technolo-

gies that enhance the experience. I’m looking into intersection between new media art, architec-

ture, and nature, so I identified responsive environment and interactive architecture to be my

main territories of interest. What if an installation or space could be constantly generated and

regenerated? What’s the relation between the viewer and the space?
