Farewell from the Masterson’s
As many of you know, I will be retiring this year. Cindy and I are at that point in our journey of ministry where the Lord is leading us to move to Bryan, Texas to be close to our sons and their families and our four grandchildren.
While my official retirement date is July 1, our District Superintendent Dr. Vincent Harris has explained the procedure as follows: my last Sunday to preach will be June 17th. Then, on Sunday, June 24th Benjamin West will be our guest preacher.
Your new pastor, Rev. Guy Williams will preach July 1st and begin his ministry with you.
Cindy and I have enjoyed serving you. You are a great congregation and we have been blessed by your love and support. We will treasure the good memories we have shared. We have been encouraged and inspired by your faith and commitment to be a Bible-based congregation. May God continue to bless you as you seek to be faithful!

Wow! What a great revival we had! A big reason it was so successful was because of everyone’s com-mitment to FUMC! Wes Williamson was our winning Pew Captain with a total of 50 folks for the four nights. Way to go Wes and the Disciples Class! Thank you to all of the Pew Captains: Ron Fellows Family, Tara Brandt, Cynthia Kelley, UMW, Geoff McCracken Family, Quinn Wood Family, Jeff Nations Family, Tracey Ramsey Family, David Waller Family, Erin Duff Family, James Perkins Family, Lois St. Pe’ and Friends, Carrie Sheffield Family, Patsy Arnold Family, Ken DeFoor Family, Brenda Henscey Fam-ily, Jay Knight Family, Larry Wadzeck Family, Alan D. Conner Family, Andy Conner Family, Kyle Boyer Family, and Wes Williamson (and the Disciples Class). Every night we had a great crowd. Thank you for filling the pews during the revival! A big thanks goes out to Jan Knight, Dani Nations, and Tara Brandt who helped get the Pew Captains all lined up. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see our church’s pews filled every Sunday morning? So let’s all do our parts and keep inviting folks to FUMC!
