The Global Party at The Renaissance MoscowMonarch Centre Hotel

On 27th September 2014 The Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre had the special pleasure of welcoming numerous guests to a charity event in collaboration with their chosen charitable partner ‘To Children with Love’. This event was part of a global movement of charitable events called ‘The Global Party’ hosted throughout the month of September.

The Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre Hotel were extremely excited by the concept of The Global Party and by the fact that it’s such an impressive platform, helping to raise awareness of small to medium, local and global charities. The hotel boasts a fantastic executive lounge with two terraces located at the 17th floor while the lounge offers an amazing view over Moscow’s panorama. A stunning location for The Global Party.

Motivated by the entire concept of having fun while simultaneously helping others The Global Party had great appeal for the hotel; when asked the hotel affirmed that it would have been very difficult if they had tried to organize something

When the world’s largest VIP charity event looked for a luxury Moscow venue to host The Global Party the Renaissance jumped at the chance to raise funds and awareness for good causes. Lucy Self found out more about what makes the Renaissance such a philanthropic supporter in such a unique and vibrant city

like this by themselves. The Global Party is a wonderful advertising platform which combines many industries and venues from all over the world, and of course offers a great opportunity for a multiple platform - exposure.

Local media, VIPs and corporate clients were invited in a friendly atmosphere: The hotel invited children from 2 local orphanages to attend and interact together with guests , making the charity appeal both corporate, but also incredibly personal. The hotel aimed to raise awareness of the problem of these children by letting adults get to know these children in a unique fun atmosphere.

The General Manager Armin Eberhard and Director of operations Costas Gavriel personally greeted parents and children, media and journalists and children from two of Moscow`s orphanages.

The event began with a welcome cocktail followed by a few words from Armin Eberhard and His Excellency Ambassador of Ireland in RF. They shared their warm welcomes with audience and Clare Reilly, representing ‘To Children with Love’, introduced a very touching animation, ‘Anya’, based on the true story of one of the children the fund has worked with.

Then, a children`s talent show began with ‘Variations of Cupids’ from ‘Don Quixote’ ballet, introduced by ‘Divertimento’ ballet group from Odintsovo Art School. Our cupids were aery, graceful and radiant in their dancing, having sharpened their skills during the welcome. A vocal group and duet from our orphanages performed songs ‘Soul string’, ‘Autumn blues’ and “If we become friends’ and another cute and cheerful duet of sisters Nastasia and Victoria sang guests about dropping rain and happy family. Then aerial ballerinas followed with a polonaise-mazurka, ‘Pakhita’ ballet, and ‘Variations of Spinning Wheels’, ‘Coppelia’ ballet, and in between elegant Anna inflamed the audience with the Latin Dance – Cha-Cha-Cha, Samba and Jive. At the end of the talent show all young performers were presented gifts by Armin Eberhard and Clare Reilly.

Following the live entertainment, guests were treated to a substantial buffet dinner and were able to experience numerous gastronomic delights from our French Chef.

Then our master classes began, concurrently running craft workshops in art cards and pictures and then following with a disco-dancing master class with professional dancers. The children were extremely excited about all of the master classes and left full of energy and excitement! During the event, donations were collected

and a prize draw took place. The happy winners got fantastic prizes including Marriott International Hotels` vouchers in Europe and football match tickets. The day was a complete success with over 100 attendees and a 4 hour program that ran like clockwork.

The idea of inviting children from an orphanage and letting them play with children who have parents will make the event an original an unforgettable experience for all. The children got to know each other and played; highlighting the disparate lives of children who are less fortunate than them. Parents also had an unforgettable experience spending time with children from the orphanage, from a very different environment: raising awareness of these children needs and that helping them is our combined duty. These children are going to form the next generation, so it is essential to support them and cherish their wellbeing. A great thank you to the The Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre Hotel for a wonderful event

Alon Shulman, creative director of sponsorship and marketing agency Worldwide-Exposure, explores the award winning Gabriel Hotel with owner Nuaman Soufraki.

I caught up with hotelier (and design guru) Nuaman Soufraki in his immaculately manicured private garden for what was supposed to be a simple chat about his boutique hotel in Cairo which was hosting The Global Party to a stylish VIP crowd. The simple chat about the event quickly turned into a magical journey as Nuaman outlined his vision to create a first class unique hotel where every element of the design was carefully thought out to enhance the experience.

Luxury in the land of the Pharaohs

“The Gabriel in Cairo has excelled at this year’s World Luxury Hotel

Awards, not only winning Egypt’s Luxury Boutique

Hotel but the entire continent of Africa’s Luxury Design Hotel”

Giving his guests unrivalled quality is only part of the story. Nuaman and his family support the wider community who benefit from his ideas and initiatives. He jumped at the chance to host The Global Party to raise awareness amongst his guests for the Children’s Cancer Hospital in Cairo which provides a free service for all Egyptians. This was the perfect way to introduce potential patrons to such a worthy organisation. Nuaman explained “We are delighted to be a part of The Global Party and we hope to be partners for many years ahead”.

Luxury in the land of the Pharaohs

The Gabriel Hotel is a magnificent boutique hotel in the true sense of the word, filled with opulence and great design. As Nuaman says, “it’s full of character and it feels like a home away from home”. And his vision has paid off - We are delighted that one of our Official venue Host Partners, The Gabriel in Cairo has excelled at this year’s World Luxury Hotel Awards, not only winning Egypt’s Luxury Boutique Hotel but the entire continent of Africa’s Luxury Design Hotel.Egypt has been a melting pot of cultures for thousands of years with influences from the Pharaohs, Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs and Ottomans. With monuments from all these cultures throughout the area it seems the perfect place for The Gabriel. What started as a philanthropists dream of uniting high net worth individuals with a series of

simultaneous parties in 2011 has grown to hundreds of the world’s most luxurious restaurants, private

and awareness for hundreds of good causes three times a year with venues picking dates throughout

the entire months of March, June and September.

Simply Delicious! This March some of the finest restaurants in the world will come together in support of good causes as the first of the three Global Party celebrations of 2015 gets under way.
