DESCRIPTION
A shadow puppet play with live music | Using no spoken words, only athmospheric sounds and music, we take the audience to a meditative audiovisual journey discovering the mysterious life of bees. This wordless visual poetry is projected onto a hexagonal beewax canvas, featuring entirely analog shadow puppetry techniques. We begin our journey on a buzzling summer meadow where we meet lazy worms and busy spiders as well as a motorracing bee who has a fortunate crash. From here we arrive to the hive where our hero bee, yet unborn, is dreaming about his own birth and life. While dreaming he is preparing himself so that when he gets born at the end of the play, he is ready for his life – no one has to tell him what to do. The only thing he has to do is to follow his innermost, pre-birth dream... Likewise, we humans, shall do the same.TRANSCRIPT
