Sand & Gelatin UrnsThe Passages Sand & Gelatin Urns are produced using sustainable materials to create an attractive and environmentally-friendly alternative for families. Each urn is hand painted by skilled artisans.

When placed in water, the Passages Sand & Gelatin Urns are designed and engineered to float briefly before sinking. The time each urn takes to sink will vary depending on the weight of the cremated remains and local water conditions. Once placed in water the urn will break down within three days. Federal regulations must be followed when placing the urn at sea. (no closer than 3 nautical miles from shore).

When buried the urn will biodegrade in three months.

Each urn is shipped in a box with custom protective packaging that provides families with a convenient and discreet option for transportation. The box (and urn) will pass through airport security screenings and can fit in the overhead compartment of most commercial airliners.Oceane, Aqua Blue

Journey Earthurns®

Shell™ Urns

Federal regulations must be followed when placing any of these urns at sea (no closer than 3 nautical miles from shore).

The Journey Earthurns are perfect for water burial. They are engineered to float briefly before gracefully sinking. Please note that float times may vary depending on water conditions and the weight of the cremated remains inside. Once on the

bottom they break down naturally over time. Journey Earthurns are available in Adult and Mini size. Adult: 14” x 12.5” x 3” and 220 Cubic Inches, Mini: 8” x 6.5” x 2” and 60 Cubic Inches

Memento UrnsThe Memento Urn for biodegradable water burial allows families to create a unique, meaningful and participatory ceremony by placing personal notes, written by family and friends, into the urn prior to placing it at sea.

This urn is crafted by hand on antique moulds from non-toxic, recycled food grade paper and is hand painted using water-based paints. The Memento Urn is designed to float briefly before sinking and will biodegrade naturally over time.

The Memento Urn is packaged in an eco-friendly box that is discreet and convenient for transporting the urn. It can be recycled once used. A monetary donation is made in memory of the deceased to an ocean conservation organization dedicated to protecting our oceans for generations to come.

Twenty handmade paper note cards are included with each urn.

Turtle UrnsThe Passages® Biodegradable Paper Turtles are crafted by hand from recycled paper using non-toxic glues. The purchase of a turtle will contribute to the preservation of a traditional local art form. The skilled artisans producing these beautiful turtles are paid a fair wage in local workshop environments.

The turtles are available in two sizes. An adult size that will accommodate a full set of human remains and a mini turtle that will accommodate up to two or three tablespoons of cremated remains. The turtles are designed to float briefly before sinking. The time that the turtle takes to sink will depend on the weight of remains inside and local water conditions. Once the turtle sinks, it will biodegrade naturally over time.

The mini turtles are available in Natural and Newsprint, while the adult size is only available in Natural. Since the turtles are crafted by hand, the size, shape and color of each may vary. Newsprint turtles will vary considerably in appearance and will contain legible newspaper print.

Earthurns®

The Simplicity Earthurns are available in two attractive finishes Floral and Wood-Grain. The size of the Chest Earthurn, Mini is 6.75” x 4.75” x 3”H (90 Cubic Inches). This unique urn opens like a chest; the top of the urn is adorned with beautiful handmade paper flowers. The Reflect Eathurn includes a

picture frame that can accommodate a photograph of the deceased.

The Unity Earthurn, Floral is also available in 4.5” x 4.5” x 3.25” H (60 Cubic Inches). Unity Earthurns, Wood-Grain and Pastel are available in 4.25” x 3.25” x 2.5” H (30 Cubic Inches).

Each Earthurn is handmade from sustainable resources and includes a water-soluble, biodegradable bag. They can be used for scattering, biodegradable burial, or the temporary storage of cremated remains.
