Our collective efforts make an impact on the women, children
and youth in our area.
Mission U is an example of Faith Hope and Love in action and
we are proud to have such an opportunity to learn how to GROW God’s kingdom to work in our communi-
ties and make a difference. Thank you to all who participated.
We look forward to the Annual Anderson District Meeting. Please be aware of the deadlines and get all your
reports in on time. Also we are excited to have the South Carolina Conference Annual meeting so close:

mindful of the many ways to serve or volunteer and be the difference as Jesus did.

UMW History
At the SC Conference UMW Annual Meeting in October, the conference will award a certificate to each district’s oldest UMW unit. The Anderson District needs your help to determine its oldest unit.
If your unit was established some time ago, you may submit documentation to Sue Owens, confer-ence Historian. Documentation accepted will be a charter, minutes of the unit, a program or di-rectory. You also need to indicate what predecessor organization was established. Your unit needs to be currently active. If your unit was established before 1939, it may have been the Wom-an’s Home Missionary Society or Woman’s Foreign Missionary Society. After 1939 but before 1973, it would have been the Woman’s (or Women’s) Society of Christian Service or the Wesleyan Service Guild.
Please submit your information to Sue Owens, 1286 Montview St, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Sue’s email address is [email protected] and her phone numbers are 864-583-5460 (home) or 864-316-9960 (cell). The deadline for submitting information is Sept. 15.
